I don't believe that they were experimenting the night they should have lost to Mizzou (would have too if Mizzou had any offense to speak of). Hope the UGA version shows up on Saturday!!!They were still in experimentation mode that game.
They're a good team! Close to what they were last year.
Howevs that National Championship team would have absolutely lost to Alabama had they had their 3 starting WRs. Can't just say "well that's part of the game". Hey...they were starting for a reason lol.
Our vertical attack is one of the best ever seen in college football. If we wanted we could throw for 400 a game. But we like balance.
Georgia will have their hands full.
And I think we absolutely do get back to 50 points
These teams are move evenly matched than you think. UT has played 5 ranked teams , where as UGA has played 1 and that was first game of the week. We are doing it against better teams and not teams like Kent State and Missouri, which I remind you could have lost both them games.Georgia will have better athletes in the secondary and on the Defensive Line
Georgia has faster, not stronger RB, and a much much better O Line
Georgia has elite TEs
Georgias weakest points are their QB and lack of take your top off WRs
They key to the game will be our O Line and Hookers decision making.
We need to make our FGs
Since you are counting the Lizards, can UGA?These teams are move evenly matched than you think. UT has played 5 ranked teams , where as UGA has played 1 and that was first game of the week. That is what they said about KY .. the 24 points in last 24 games etc .. we scored 27 on them before the half .. remember they said 'KY defense was best in the SEC' and how 'LSU DLine was best' etc ..The most any opponent has scored against UGA defense is 22 pts this season, so thinking that this is going to be a high scoring game is based on what?
Sure, go ahead.Since you are counting the Lizards, can UGA?
This is not one of the brightest posts in message board history. You may have missed it, but our offense is slightly better than the offenses you have played thus far.The most any opponent has scored against UGA defense is 22 pts this season, so thinking that this is going to be a high scoring game is based on what?
After 15 years of mediocrity you'd think we'd have some humility by now and gratitude to be where we are. Let's not count our chickens before they hatch. I hope they win, but can't say they will. Although, Tennessee is finally heading in right direction.
Since you are counting the Lizards, can UGA?
Bennett is not an elite qb. The key to stopping georgia is stopping their run game and forcing bennett to take the lead role offensively. Bowers will be a problem but if we can limit him just enough, I like our chances. Not a good matchup for the Vols defensively. GA will score a bunch. Pressure will be on the offense to score every possession against a great defense in a hostile environment. I'm not saying it's a sure loss, just likely. No matter, the Vols have far surpassed anything I could have dreamed this season.
I haven't argued about anything. We have played an easier schedule so far.You still hanging out with womanizers and running average restaurants chains into the ground?
You can’t get away from the fact that the Mutts have played a much lighter schedule than the Vols. It doesn’t mean that your team isn’t good, or that they won’t win on Saturday.
Notice the team we just ransacked 44-6. They were very much a weaker version of UGA mainly because talent and the TE position.
Jalin Hyatt is a force of nature that no defense has a remedy for.
Oh, and we also still have that dude that had like 200+ yards receiving against them last year in Cedric Tillman.
Our RBs whole the middle of the field.
Our QB breaks down defense when they play their assignment perfectly with his legs.
Also, Bru is an automatic 1ST DOWN. Check his stats and see the percentage of catches as 3rd down conversions.
Georgia has a powerful oline with strong rbs. Very difficult TEs to deal with. Bowers is a pure football player. BUT, the remedy to slow them down is what you saw against UK last night. Keep them off schedule. Play a lot of bear front and force Stetson Bennett to do his own Bryce Young impersonation.
Slaughter, Flowers, McCullough, Harrison, Josephs, Beasley, want to prove to UGA that they are real Georgia ballers too.
Omari Thomas, Jabari Small, Jeremy Banks, McDonald, Tyler Barron, Cooper Mays, Jerome Carvin also want to prove Tennessee ballers are legit as well!
But back to Jalin Hyatt .
Georgia...nor anyone else has a answer for his connection with Hendon.
Georgia will find themselves down 28-7 with no Bryce Young type player to bail them out.
Bowers will get his. He just will, but that won't be enough.
Keys to the game:
Throw to Hyatt and throw it deep.
Banks must neutralize McIntosh.
DL hold their own in the run game.
Hooker must run more to keep us on schedule.
Bru and Tillman keep converting 3rd downs.
Score prediction
44- 24 Vols
If it comes down to a FG to win on the road...Georgia will have better athletes in the secondary and on the Defensive Line
Georgia has faster, not stronger RB, and a much much better O Line
Georgia has elite TEs
Georgias weakest points are their QB and lack of take your top off WRs
