Bruce just wasn't dignified enough for the country club fans here. But at place where they throw butt wipe in the trees he'll fit right in.

Anybody who doesn't feel that way has a screw loose! What in blazes did you dumbazzes expect? Pearl to sit at a grocery company pining away for the days at UT forever? The man is trying to make a living and a success of his life after an amazing streak of bad luck. What if you were out of a job and were offered a good one. Would you sit and wait because its not the perfect one you wanted? His chances of returning here were slim and none and he has been offered an opportunity. We should be glad for him and remember his days coaching here fondly.

BTW, do you morons hate Tee Martin because he liked life in LA and didn't come back to UT when he had the chance? Do you hate Jay Graham because he left us for FSU and they won a national championship?

Some of you need to join the human race.

Why would anyone hate Jay Graham? Our RB recruiting is better now, and our RBs are performing better. I'm good with Gillespie.

I can't really root for Auburn at th expense of UT, but I can't root against Bruce Pearl, so I'll just remain neutral when it comes to that particular matchup. Like I said, I don't expect that game will carry much weight anyway.

Hopefully Auburn beats us badly and has the better season. Then the AD will realize how bad a mistake it was to fire a great BB coach.

As a secondary Auburn fan, and someone who truly appreciates Pearl for his accomplishments with our program, I hope Auburn has a relatively good season next year. If they can beat everyone with the exception of Tennessee, then that's awesome.

Yes it was. That was a ridiculous reason to fire him. Should he have been disciplined? Absolutely. Other coaches have done worse things and not gotten fired.

Worse than lying to the NCAA when they have photo evidence that you're lying, then convincing your whole staff (and unsuccessfully trying to convince the kid's dad) to lie for you too? If you think there's a way he could still be employed after that, you either REALLY love Pearl or have no idea how any of this works.
