You really feel that way? It's not very realistic as the odds of UT getting hammered by Bama next year are pretty good.

That doesn't mean Butch can't coach. I'm not saying he's on par with Saban but add in talent gap and UT is clearly looking up at Bama right now.

Bamma is a good place for Kiffie. He will do well as long as Saben remains there to ride herd on his mouth.

Expect to see Knox and his new sibling Tusk to be fan favorites.

Nothing to do with recruiting just the biggest rival, a chance to prove themselves for the younger guys and every fan telling and demanding they play good. Add in a loud stadium, pumped up crowd, players will be pumped up..

The players will be pumped regardless of Kiffin. The Kiffin hatred is only by the fans. The current players and coaches have bigger things to worry about.

I think this hire was motivated by Battle to pay Tennessee back for all they did for him. It's not often that you can single-handedly destroy a program like Bama without having an insider. Bill Battle is really our friend.

Maybe so...Maybe not. We haven't seen our recruits play. In addition, it only takes one talented walk on change the entire outcome(remember CP).
Auburn was 3-9 last season, now look.
The game has to be played.....and AT THIS POINT, there are as many reasons why we may win or lose.
As a fan, in the off season and during, I look for possible reasons to be hopefull...cause lots of things happen.

Kiffin...we used to easily know what that meant...now I won't know if somebody is meaning a lazy crap or one lucky turd... what I know for sure is there is no respect for Saban or AL!

Kiffin meant well when he was in Knoxville. He realized the program had become stagnant and tried to bring headlines and take on Meyer, Saban, Spurrier, and others. There was improved recruiting and excitement. He left Tennessee for his "dream job" at USC- I bet he regrets leaving Tennessee! He made a huge mistake leaving a top ten all time winning program who gave his sorry tail a chance after an epic failure in Oakland! He was to stupid to research the sanctions that were coming down as a result of Pete's cheating with Bush. We have a class act now in Butch- he wants to be here! Tennessee is his dream job! Let's let this Kiffin bs go!

People will probably question my heart, but I think Bama beats us. We're still thin in a few areas and I think we need a couple good recruiting classes to play with and beat the top SEC teams.

I wonder if Butch and company knew how big the Vandy game was? Rivalry, Bowl game, possible winning season and all...

Kiffin means nothing to them, I hope. I would have preferred better focus on Franklin.

Hate to say it but I just have no doubt that a Kiffin VS Jancek coordinator match just isnt going to end pretty for Tennessee.
