Truly hope so. This Alabama dominance must end soon. It's getting almost impossible for a Vol fan to function anywhere in the South.

It just dawned on me that Bama, A&M, Georgia, Florida, and LSU could very well be the preseason top 5 next fall. Ouch.

As a fellow resident of Huntsville I wholeheartedly agree with you. The bandwagon clowns are growing by the minute here.

I was being sarcastic. Yes coaching matters. I'm just sick and tired of hearing this day in and day out about he's only a 3* we need more 5's. If you haven't checked NFL rosters lately yeah there are a ton of 3's and lower than 5*'s. Just look at Ryan Jenkins...yeah dude is really good only a 3*...I guess you don't like 3*'s though.

SHows you what we and the SEC are up against every year, not just in a occcasional BCS game. Says a lot for the strength in the SEC going 7 yrs in a row. THis is the only time I will root for BAMA.... FLA .. never...:nono:

Agree, it's totally insane. When I moved here in 1997, there were mostly Auburn fans. New it's UA, and UT is the laughing stock.

Get real man, Bama starters are mostly 4 and 5 star players, with maybe 2 or 3 three stars mixed in.

Actually I agree with you for no other reason than hope itself. It's hard to believe UT will be successful again with some of the talent we have been recruiting. I am not disparaging them, but when you chief rivals have been pulling in their first choices at every position, the expectations can't be great.

I just hope(and I know this makes me kinda in the wrong as well) that jones has sold his soul to the devil as Saban obviously has. Science can't explain bama. Not only are they far superior in personell and coaching, but they are the luckiest damn team I think I've ever seen. From players always panning out, never getting in trouble, and never getting injured...it's a dynasty like I've never really seen. My only hope is that the nfl could temp him away at some point.

Do you want to go and play Alabama every year with a bag full of 3*? How well do you think that will work for us? You aren't going to outcoach them so you need to have talent as close to theirs as you can get.

Doubt very seriously if Butch really knows how tough the SEC really is from top to bottom. Several teams in the SeC could beat Notre Dame this year.

I don't know what the actual stats are but I think there are a huge numbers of players in the nfl that weren't even 3 stars. When the players introduce themselves and name their college, so many came from small schools. That seems to stand out to me almost every time. And it's even more amazing when u consider that the former high ranking recruits that end up at the big schools get all the attention and opportunities

Of course not man. What I'm trying to say is I'm tired of the complaining about 3* on this board. Yes talent has to be up there along with coaching.
