I hope CBJ mans up in his post game presser

He better take all the blame for this one. I don't care how bad Peterman played.

Because it is all on CBJ.

He made the big decisions. If we put Florida in the 17 point hole we should have in the first quarter, it is over. We couldn't have expected to win the game, but the game was ours to win in the first canto.

Murphy and the Gators just kept building confidence throughout the game after we let the off the hook repeatedly.

CBJ made some big decisions today, and he got them completely wrong. He better man up later or I'm quickly losing confidence. This looks like Dooley 2 Electric Boogaloo right now.
I do think one thing you could pin on him and the defensive coaches is the fact that they didn't do any subbing at the DT spots. I'd rather have a fresh Danny O'Brien late in the 3rd Qtr than a gassed/exhausted Hood, and Carr or Carson could have spelled Big Dan a bit.

This is how the Gators offense gained some momentum. I think this staff is just scared as hell to substitute much. I can understand that a bit at CB, but we've got more depth than they are willing to use.

he's a man,he's over 40,so don't worry...
he rolled the dice on Peterman, thought Worley wasn't the answer(which he isn't,
but might be the closest thing to an answer at QB),I think he didnt want to completely destroy the kid by pulling him after 2 turnovers, tried to coach him up,
but Peterman turned it over 2 more times so he had to pull him...

kinda like pulling a fake punt, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't...the idiot in Baton Rouge does it all the time and gets away with it because of superior talent,Butch doesn't have that luxury so it looks desperate, which it is right now...

Coach Jones wasn't the one who threw the interceptions or fumbled the ball. I don't like the outcome, but all the TN players were still giving good effort until the end of the game.

You're idiot. He is playing with the worst talent in the SEC

The fact this has two likes is proof of how ignorant our fan base is. Kentucky, Vandy, Auburn, Missouri, have worse talent than us. Hell, by average recruiting, we had better "talent" than Oregon.

The savior we all thought Butch was, so far hasn't been it. That simple. He is not immune to criticism or mistakes. Dooley with this same roster but wilcox or any DC other than sunseri wins this game. (cue the idiots who come in to say YOU ARENT A FAN, DOOLEY SUCKS NOT TRUE, etc. Despite the fact Dooley had a worse roster than this and should've beaten LSU and UNC)

James Franklin had worst talent at Vandy his first year and he took us to overtime in Neyland, lost by 1 score to UF in the swamp, lost to UGA by 1 score, and made a bowl game. Can we stop making excuses for Butch. I want this team to play some real football because right no he doesn't get it!

That's a very good point!

This is so much hogwash it would kill all the damn crappie in Reelfoot Lake.
I've asked this question several times and none of you complainers have given me a name yet. Who, on this team, would start for our great teams of the late 90's
or early 2000's?

One question. What has worley done to this point that makes you think we shouldn't test other options?

I agree jones should've pulled the plug on peterman early. I even agree if worley had started we likely win that uf game. That said worley has and is still a terrible option at qb. I can't fault jones for testing other options that give us a better chance going forward.

Let me ask a question of everyone:

Who DOESN'T think Butch has something to answer for in his presser?
What does it matter? Would it make you feel better? Does him answering for trying to find a better qb make us a better football team? Does it make fans like you less irrational?

Like it or not, we do not have a talented team. We do not have the pieces to operate the offense we want to. And yeah these are excuses. Excuses that everyone including myself are sick of hearing but that doesn't make them untrue

It has been said many times but it falls on deaf ears....ears of the expert vol fans and all their expertise, coaching experience, and couch potato hindsight. The peterman experiment was hard to watch. Worley is far better than Peterman but there lies the problem. Worley is not, at least at this point, up to SEC caliber. I am not sure Worley could have won the game had he been in the whole time. So what is there. Jones, may or may not burn one of the freshmen redshirts. In my opinion, he will lose with Worley so it can't be any worse with the freshmen who would end up with valuable experience for next yr. Back to the whinning and *****ing... give it a rest ... it is as bad as watching peterman play qb and with the same results. Just be careful what you wish (complain, whine, etc) for. BTW how has all that whinning and moaning worked out for you over the last 7 yrs?

I have to lay this loss on Butch, I can't for the life of me understand why he would put an unproven QB into the game against the Gators. I could understand if he did it against South Alabama next week but to put someone unproven into this type of situation was a bad call on his part.

While Worley might not be a SEC QB, I feel that if he had played the first half we might have one this game.

We lost by less than last year and we were minus CP, Hunter, and Bray.

I fail to see how Butch isn't good enough. Better outcome with less talent.

Go cheer for another team!

This is such hogwash.

I want our new coach to admit he made some big decisions that are wrong and hurt his football team.

That would be progress.

We had the Florida Gators beat if our new HC doesn't wet himself after Oregon and plays the QB he KNEW was the best option we had.

That's why he started him the first three games. If there were a real competition, they would have alternated series against AP and WKU to sort it out.

What would you like him to say? You can't polish a turd.

"This loss is on me. I made a big decision. I didn't trust the process and what I had seen throughout the Spring and camp. We had a good football team on the ropes in their house, and we didn't execute the maxims because of decisions I made. Our kids played their guts out, and I let them down."

"Nate is a great talent and an important part of this team. I put him in one of the toughest situations you could put a QB in and it was the wrong decision."

"I'm going to continue to get better. Team 117 is going to continue to get better. We are hurting, but we are going to put the hurt on some teams in the coming weeks....."
