I just had a hard dose of reality!

My son is an attorney in Birmingham. He told me a little while ago the "rumors" in the Birmingham social circles (based on conversations among wives & friends of candidates) are Kirby Smart to UT and Petrino to Auburn.

GO VOLS!

I just can't see Smart going to UT, where he'd have to play against his boss every year in a huge rivlary. I know Sunseri did it, but I'm also not convinced he was sent up here as a Trojan Horse

I may be wrong, but I think Smart will only leave for a select few jobs. It will only be a job where the program is ready to succeed. Not a program riddled with probation or controversy. And I doubt very seriously that he will take a job that has him competing directly with Nick Saban and Alabama. The only way he'd do that, IMO, is if the Georgia job somehow came open.
