Letting dialysis do the work of his kidneys may help the rest of his body save its resources to fight the battle. Prayers that this will help him through the next few days, and prayers for you as well.Sadly i had to give permission to start dialysis this evening. Was hoping to avoid that step. But i feel like it is the best course of action if that is where the infection is. This will clear it up faster. Trust the process is all i can do. Thanks for all the prayers my Vols friends. Keep Praying
Actually thats what his father and i discussed. After the conversation with his father who is retired from the medical field i feel much better about this.Letting dialysis do the work of his kidneys may help the rest of his body save its resources to fight the battle. His father said because his kidneys stopped around 12 today that instead of trying other things being aggressive like this is actually a good thing instead of waiting until other issues pop up. So i trust his opinion. I dont feel so bad about making the decision. But being 1200 miles away its hard.Dialysis for acute renal failure (and similar diagnoses) can be a great bridge in situations like this.
