RT, as a person who has battled depression/addiction/mental illness I feel like I need to tell you that you are doing the right thing by reaching out. Volnation and the Vol family are known for being obnoxious and split over many issues, but at the end of the day if one of us is in need we almost always rally behind each other and do what we can for each other. Many on here have written outstanding advice and words of encouragement and that makes me proud to be a part of this extended family.
That said, please seek professional guidance. So many people are afraid of talking to a therapist or mental health professional because they think only "crazy" people do, but depression is a real and tangible ordeal that can often be helped with therapy and/or medication. There is no shame in it if you are able to get it. We will all be happy to talk with you about anything you are dealing with brother. But if you can take the next step and seek the help of a professional I truly think it would do you some good.
I'm still not right in the head and likely never will be completely sane, but the professionals who've helped me along the way have helped me beyond what I can express on a forum. Either way, we care about you and will be here to talk as long as you are in need. We love you man and always remember that when it seems like happiness is impossible it never is. Things will get better with time and work.
