I Never Dreamed...

any word of how doozer is holding up with this nightmare?

just fine actually. the season will be a small price to pay for getting rid of the garbage that Scumpson accumulated while in Bloomington. pretty much everybody understands the situation and is willing to give Crean a pass.

i'm more worried about the possible sanctions that are coming today from the NCAA. i hate the idea of punishing a coach and players for something the previous administration did, but understand.

Coach Knight must read the paper smilin like a man whose just seen his worst enemy get punked.

Knight landed on his feet at Tech and seems to be loving his job as a commentator. he said himself he should have left IU 5 years before he did. i doubt he stays up at night thinking about what could have been.

fwiw, I can't feel sorry for any team dumb enough to hire Sampson. If Crean can turn this program around within 5 years, it will be one of the single greatest coaching accomplishments I've ever seen.

he already has a top 10 class coming in next year. some say even top 5. it's a lot easier to rebuild a basketball program than a football program. they'll be back before 5 years.

He's with the Bucks. As much as I detest the guy, he is a good defensive mind. The pros are a good place for him.

It seems like coaches who get their employers into trouble with the NCAA should be at least fined.

It's just wrong that he can move on to other things, while IU is left holding the baggage (not that I feel sorry for them).

And in Milwaukee he's stuck with a miserable Wisconsin/Great Lakes winter season. Hope he enjoys that.

What's my boy Capel going to have at OU this year hat? Are they as good as their top 15 billing?
Capel's got a nice team. I'm beginning to believe I underestimated him as a coach. They still don't have elite talent, except for Blake Griffin and Willlie Warren, but I think they are certainly a team that should expect to make the Sweet Sixteen.

Good for him. Not a true K coaching disciple, but one of my all-time favorite Duke players. It's a whole lot easier for me to cheer for him now that he's not at VCU.

Also glad to see Crean and his scrubs didn't get penalized for something they didn't do.

This may be a bit off topic, but what's going on with Billy Grier? Is there a reason for people in San Diego to be worried? I've enjoyed watching Grier coach, but for some reason they've been awful this year after returning a majority of talent from last year's squad.

It's simple: They got beat in the Virgin Islands by two teams that are considerably better than them.

They weren't even competitive. They returned everyone and I was expecting them to compete for a top 3 spot in the WCC. I think they could have put on a better show.

IU took another one last night.

if they can beat Kentucky and/or pull off an upset of Purdue, i'll call it a successful year.

If Indiana wins 10 games, Tom Crean should be given a lifetime contract and the university presidency.

looks like i'll be at Lucas Oil field next Saturday to witness the Zags/IU drubbing in person.
