So assuming these wins
Utah State - W
Arkansas State - W
Chattanooga - W
Vandy - W

And assuming these Loses
Okla - L
GA - L
AL - L

We need just 2 more out of
FL, Ole Miss, SC, KY and Mizzou

This looks very doable to me!
FL's offense put up big numbers but it was a crap team so who knows?
Ole Miss can play well but has been very inconsistent and are turnover prone?
SC looks very vulnerable on D and are not as good as last year, and we are better IMO.
Mizzou has impressed no one but does have a good QB?
And KY is probably a little better but so are we, and they are still KY.

I think winning 2 of those five and going to a bowl is not just doable but likely!!
Even (dare I say it) 3 of those, not likely but certainly possible??

I know many things have to go right and we have to stay relatively healthy (please Lord!, knock on wood).

I also know some games this season will probably be disheartening, but, if we can keep our eyes on the goal which is post season play, I believe this season can be a very positive step.

Bowl tickets for me please!!!:rock::):)

This discussion will be a lot clearer by Sunday morning. UF, Mizzou, SC, and Ole Miss are all question marks at this point, and that is just being hopeful.

We need to be at least 4-3 after Ole Miss IMO. We have to consider Alabama a loss the week after Ole Miss; therefore, if we are 3-5, we would be forced to win 3 out of 4 against against SC, Kentucky, Missouri, and Vandy. A win against Florida or Ole Miss would be the key.

Kentucky is better but we improved more than them and it is a home game.
Mizzou showed a lot of improvement last week but we take them down at Neyland.
FL is a question mark that won't be answered until bamer game.
USCe has pass defense issues. That is a good matchup for us. We will see how their run defense is this weekend against UGA.
Ole Miss is legit, especially on Defense and Pass game. We can hold our own with them.

Every bowl projection I have read today says we are in. Some opponents are Memphis, Duke and Iowa

Duke? Man, that'd be an interesting game. I'd hate to go and get thrashed by coach Cutcliffe. Man is a genius. We'd probably my win but his football intelligence is up there with anyone else.

If we end up in a bowl against Memphis, then we have hit rock bottom.
I would almost rather not go to a bowl than have to play Memphis in a lower tier bowl.
I am not criticizing CBJ or the team, it just saddens me to even think we have sunk to the level of facing Tiger High in a bowl.

Whatever the Bowl Tennessee could definitely use the extra practice.

Really? This is stupid. We don't choose the opponent. Who cares who we play? A bowl this year is huge toward the building of this program.

My skin is crawling saying this but I honestly believe AL would be an easier win than FL this year. We'll see after they play each other. That aside IMO put KY in the win column and remove FL and we need to beat Ole Mizzery, New Mizzery or Souf Cackalacky

Many people care who we play. Maybe you do not, but some people do. But I guess, if we do not agree with you it is stupid.

As much as I want to see us go to a bowl, I do not want to waste my hard earned money to go watch Memphis.

I also hate seeing us play teams like Chattanooga. I know all FBS teams play FCS teams, but I wish it would stop. The SEC was a laughing stock this weekend with all the blowout, cupcake games.

Maybe a few of the SEC teams played cupcakes but at least we all took care of business. We could be playing in the Big 10 with Tosu, Michigan and Mich St. That would be a real travesty.

I really think the "extra" practice time for a bowl game, especially a low-tier bowl game, is vastly over-rated. Unless you're going to bench all the Seniors and play the younger players by giving them the most reps with the 1's then what are you really accomplishing?

For example, do you bench Worley in favor of Peterman or Dobbs? If not, how much better are those 2 getting in bowl practice? It's December, it's cold, and the team has gone through a brutal SEC schedule.

Look no further than Vandy. I know they changed coaches and all but they did win a bowl game last year and they flat out suck this season.
