That is always given as a potential reason/excuse. It can be a legitimate reason. UGA was crushed by injuries last year. Mizzou had critical injuries the year prior. But the teams UT has a roster advantage on now will experience injuries too. You can rightly say that some teams fill in for injured players better than others... but Mizzou doesn't have more players standing ready to step in than UT this year... they have fewer. USCe? Probably not. Vandy, UK? No. Ole Miss? Really depends on which players.... just like it does with UT.

Only a few teams are deep enough to not worry about injuries. Bama typically is but may not be this year. UGA or Auburn probably come the closest this year but UGA is fairly thin in the secondary.

Injuries are part of the game...just like bad ref calls. Great depth can be erased with 2 or 3 bad luck injuries, and no one cares if you down to your 4th string QB.

I truly believe the Freshmen are stepping up and UT will be a hard team to beat by the end of the year...if UT can say healthy.

I say 7-5 this season, just another step in the right direction toward an SEC and eventual national championship...but first, one step at a time...Brick by Brick!

If we end up in a bowl against Memphis, then we have hit rock bottom.
I would almost rather not go to a bowl than have to play Memphis in a lower tier bowl.
I am not criticizing CBJ or the team, it just saddens me to even think we have sunk to the level of facing Tiger High in a bowl.

BULLCRAP.

I love it anytime we play Memphis, BOWL or NOT, it just gives an opportunity for one more payback game for 1996
