Sadly the hardware is capable of network functionality, as well as acting as your cable modem, but in all known instances the cable companies have these abilities diabled in the firmware. Sorry Freak. Otherwise that is a VERY nice box. :)

I don't have a standard DVR. Today I used my tuner/capture card in my desktop. It has DVR functionality, but the tuner is generally crap, so I used composite out of a standard digital cable box... would have been better if it had s-vid out.

The TIVO thing, I knew a guy in class that had a TIVO networked to his home server... it could serve TV shows to a couple of different PCs and a modded xbox. My setup is usually download off the 'net and use my desktop as a fileserver to watch using my modded xbox. It is still a great setup.

I am not charging, just sending out a few as a courtesy to people. The only real issue is like I mentioned above. The quality is good but the apect ratio is a tad "thin". It's the HD broadcast burned into standard mode. For whatever reason instead of using bars on the top and bottom it compressed the picture. It's very watchable, the players just look thin. Not sure why that happened. I'll know better next time.

If you have a widescreen tv it looks fine (it does on mine anyway).

Sure thing man. The quality is ok, but not great. Hopefully the next couple of releases will be better. :)

The AF game is already for certain. If I'm lucky I can rope Freak into doing all the hard work... :) Either way, the answer is yes! Check the Video forum regularly, I'll post them there.

alright.. i thank you very much as with me being in Canada, we do not get many of the Vols games up here.. just the occasional one CBS carries and a couple more here and there. I am very excited for the AF game as i know for a fact i will not get to see that one on tv.

If you are interested in catching any other college games that you wouldn't normally, go to Ten Yard Torrents and get an account. They are capping most of the best games. :)

I want the ESPN version of the game. On that one Phil Fulmer tipped his hat off and jumped about one feet off the ground on that play when they said our reciever was called a yard short for the first down. THAT WAS CLASSIC!!!!!!!!!!!! lol
