I think any chance at landing Josh Selby has faded away

Yea but him nor Knight or as good as Bledsoe or Wall

maybe that. i think it means he can play with anybody and still be an impact player. i doubt he's going to admit he couldn't play on a team with Knight and still be the man. i don't think it means anything. this kid is clear as mud.

You guys forgetting about Lamb he will be UK bound.. Tough to see Lamb, Knight, Selby.

The best part is UK has no Post Play now :)

I do remember Selby saying that he has entertained the idea of playing with Daron lamb.

Yeah but Lamb and Knight? That's a lot of shared time in the Guard position.

What better that to go head to head against Knight twice next year to prove that you are the best Guard in this class.

True, im definitely hoping for the best. I believe, in the end, it comes down to Tennessee and Kentucky.

This does not really affect a player like Selby. It was fairly well-known that at least Wall, Cousins, and Patterson were gone. Bledsoe is no surprise either for people that follow recruiting and the draft even casually. Bledsoe isn't exactly a Rhodes Scholar. School just isn't his thing. Once he was considered a top-20 pick, he was gone. Orton doesn't really affect Selby from a positional standpoint. Maybe from a numbers standpoint, but you find room for a player like Selby.

I really feel like Kansas is his leader followed closely by Kentucky and then Tennessee. There is next to no chance he comes here unless he is blowing smoke in every other direction in every interview he has conducted in the last month.

If you guys really think that John Wall leaving changes his mind any at all you all are crazy. He knew just like the rest of the country that Wall was going to be a 1 and done imho he is just as high on Kentucky now as he was last week. John Wall has nothing to do with his recruitment what so ever.

I think Selby said that just to clear up stuff that he didn't want to go anywhere he couldn't be the star.He was also pretty ticked that the UK fans where talking about his "little meetings" with WWW. He said that they all needed to stop that now.

I think we are still in it for Selby.

And thanks EB fan I had to do something for my avatar that dunk was just plain out nasty!:)

More beginnings of UK basketball heading towards probation twenty plus years later. Bruce is collecting the phone numbers of the NCAA investigators and the Calamari probation trilogy will be complete.

Everyone knew Wall was leaving. I think most people think the departure of Bledsoe is the significant factor here. If Bledsoe stayed Kentucky would have Knight and Bledsoe as guards. Selby probably wouldn't have wanted to enter that situation.

The simple fact is Bruce will develop better basketball players than Cal.

Dude, Calipari has more players drafted this year than Bruce will have had in his entire career. I mean, I love Bruce and I think he is the best coach TN could ever have, but Calipari turns out NBA players plain and simple.

Or the players already have NBA ready talent and he recruits them and uses WWW to close the deal.

Not really fair to say that. Pearl has gotten a lot of productivity out of some guys, but he's been pretty terrible at developing guys with NBA potential. Tyler Smith came in as a guy who could have possibly have been a first rounder after the first year. By the time he got kicked off the team, he was almost a liability to have on the court. Pearl did little to develop Ramar Smith in his short time here. He also still has to prove he can get Hopson to care. Pearl hasn't done a bad job coaching here, but there is a reason he hasn't had a single player drafted.
