They come back from 8 down to win a game, and follow it up by losing to the Pirates. On a home run. The guy had zero career home runs. It was off of Marmol too. FML.

More dugout drama. That's why they make tunnels leading to the locker room.

Dempster is one of the few that supported hiring Quade. Now this makes at least 2 times when he has been very unhappy about being taken out. I think he is very close to losing the team. Should have hired Sandberg.

Oh by the way, not like losing the team matters. They suck. Still pisses me off.

Whether or not he disagreed with Quade removing him he was not justified in doing that. Looks terrible and there is no excuse of emotions running high.

I was baffled that Sandberg wasnt the guy. However, this team would suck no matter the manager.

The problem with Sandberg would have been much like if the Yankees hired Mattingly.. 85% of the time managers don't leave on their own accord, and it's a messy situation having to ****can a hometown guy.

Was about to say the same thing. Looking back, not hiring Ryne at this previous opening is best for the franchise and the fanbase.

Yeah. I thought about the fan base turning on him. Well I guess I would have been happy taking Girardi from the Yanks.

Playing straight up, there is no current nor has there ever been a ss that could field a well hit ball up the middle. Ever, not even Ozzie Smith.

I saw the damned play, they were shifted.

You apparently saw the wrong play. He was in his normal spot.

To the comment that no one could make a play up the middle. Sure they could, depends on multiple things. Like how hard the ball is hit, if it is deflected by the pitcher, how high the grass is...

Read my post! I said a WELL hit ball up the middle. A slow roller or a deflection doesn't show range.
Hell I can cover slow rollers or deflections.
Like I said even the great Wizard didn't have range to cover a well hit shot up the middle.

Ok. I stand by my stance that a shift was not on. I could be wrong, considering that it has been a month and a half, but I doubt it.

Usain Bolt couldn't cover that much range. No person could. Whenever u see a ss that far over fielding a ball they are almost always on a shift.
I will give you that slow rollers and deflections can be handled and teams with slow infielders do cut their grass longer to help give their guys more "range". But none of those show true range.

Well looks like poor cub fans are going to have to be saying next year will be their year. I really feel sorry for the fan base thinking every year is their year.

I feel sorry for so-called braves fans. When they do manage to get in the playoffs, they can't fill their stadium up. Sad.
