I think John Campbell may become a board favorite

Awesome that Campbell came to Knoxville in part due to the almighty waffle. Sadly, we got NO Waffle House here in the Outer Banks. Chain restaurants don't do well... all these failed: Burger King, Hardee's, Taco Bell, Arby's, Applebee's.

But FWIW it's still better here than South Carolina... they got the knock-off "Huddle House" which hear tell sucks donkeys. Even copied Waffle House sign. Typical wanna-be Cocks.

2.5/5.0 on Yelp.

I wish I could remember who I was arguing with about why players choose the schools they choose.

No. I'm not hearing this and thinking his only reason was that Waffle House was close. At the same time, it means something to him that his favorite inexpensive restaurant is close by. It was one of many factors that made him feel good about UT and Knoxville. You can never tell what little thing like that will work for or against you with a recruit. Things you can do absolutely nothing about.

What I'm hearing is that Waffle House wasn't a reason for coming to Tennessee... it was a Sign From God.

Here's your NIL pitch:

"John Campbell, how do you like your defensive linemen? Scattered? Smothered? Covered? Chunked? Diced..."

"Naw. I like to waffle block 'em."

"What's that?"

"It's like a pancake block, 'cept it leaves holes." Campbell smiles and holds up a big bite of waffle.

We have one like 2 miles from my house, and it's the only one that worries me. We also have a women's state prison here, and that's who works there mostly, some prisoners. I don't mind the fighting, even getting whooped, but I think a few of those girls could take out 3-4 men at once 🤣. Then, there's a couple who are man hunting, they're all over you when you go in. It's an interesting waffle house experience 🤣
Where’d you say you live man?

Technically, according to another forum, he lives at Buc-ees part of the time. And now, apparently, he lives the other part of the time at the Waffle House, harassing female prisoners. 😁
Buc-ees has good food and clean bathrooms, good place to sleep 🤣

This is true! WH….eh, definitely a little sketchy in the bathroom department. Btw, you do know there are “VOLUNTEER” organizations that can extract you out from behind enemy lines on a moments notice, right. Might wanna think about it. I escaped 22 years ago.

Favorite Waffle House memory- ate a Christmas-morning breakfast at the one on the corner of Papermill and Weisgarber with my parents and wife while watching the snow fall. Doesn't get much better than this.
