Didn't that happen over a week ago? He was wearing a fake transit vest? I read that might have been just an individual suicide attempt...but it was weird.

The police commissioner said that two groups have claimed responsibility for this, I think...unfortunately, no TPers....YET. :)

I'm not sure, I just saw it scroll by as they were talking about the car bomb. I just assumed it was related with this.

Sure didn't sound like Al Qaeda from the lameness of it. As a friend of mine said, it was basically a Wiley Coyote level thing. Wouldn't be surprised if the bomb was in a box that said "ACME" on it.

it being dumb doesn't exactly preclude al qaeda. they've had more than their fair share of screwups, particurally those planed by cells.
