Now Saxophone or Trombone? Those are the instruments of God himself...Butch should have played it.

But, I must confess that if Butch gets music AND football...he gets it more than you guys could ever know.

Just because somebody is in the band doesn't mean they are geeks or nerds. Just like the athletes on the field it takes talent to play any instrument. If you make fun of people who are or were in a band then please do your self a favor and DO NOT sing rocky top at the ball games when out pride of the south land band is playing it...

He played in the marching band when he wasn't on the field playing football or another sport. Small town. Multi-task with a lot of interests. Kind of like he does now. But I guess I am interrupting the fun. But it is an insight into what you are getting as a HC. Which is why the players love him.

This explains the real reason he took the UT job. Because of the Pride of the Southland Marching Band!!!!! I am cool with that!!!

Yep I'm guilty I'm a band geek. I enjoy the pride of the south land band because when I sit in neyland stadium surrounded by orange and the team runs through the power T and rocky top is being played I know it's football time in Tennessee!!!
