Let it go man he won the national championship johnny did not. Still appreciate what they both did for Tennessee
My point was that you said 'we' love them both. Maybe that's you and the mouse in your pocket, but it's not all UT fans. I sure don't love Fulmer, for several valid reasons.

I remember they said they were going to take that game seriously and try hard to win after the embarrassing 30-3 Peach Bowl loss to Maryland the year before well clearly it didn’t happen. We were 10-2 going into that game and I still think some players and fans were miffed about not going to the SEC title game we finished in a three way tie with Georgia and Florida that season. We beat Florida, Bama and Miami that year I think it was Miami’s first home loss in like 4 seasons or something they were really good then. It def was a disappointment end to Clausen’s career he finished with a 1-3 bowl record.
I was at that Miami game too. We were so good that year. Definitely a disappointment to go to the peach bowl

Excuse me?

Just kidding. Little Richard lived near Manchester Tennessee. I actually saw him in the drive through of a fast food restaurant 3 or 4 times
It was awesome cause I saw him drop the peach for new years and sing. But then he couldn’t walk well and had to be big time helped. He was super high energy performing.

The first time I saw him at the drive through I asked the girl working the window "was that guy in the car in front of me Little Richard?"

She said yes he comes here all the time

I didn't say I hate him. I do have a strong dislike for him though.

But you can't be happy that we won the national championship with him as head coach. Don't be Switzerland man. Own your hate ( strong dislike ) for him like a man and quit tap dancing.

Excuse me. Johnny won just as many as Phil, just not at UT. ;)

Agreed but we as Tennessee fans should not claim credit for Tony Dorsett. I appreciate what both of those coaches brought to Tennessee but the Pitt championship is not on my list of achievements for my University of Tennessee head football coach.

But you do you

Not claiming credit for TD. But I think it speaks positive for any coach to win a NC no matter where he did it.

Don't disagree but it has zero to did with Tennessee. That would be like saying Former Tennessee basketball coach Bruce Pearl made it to the final four. That would be true but doing it for Auburn makes me want to throw up

Nobody's tap dancing. Fulmer's negatives far outweigh his positives. I like the Autobahn but I'm not a fan of who built it.

That’s awesome. I feel like that would be hard to not be starstuck with him. Even him hobbling to the hotel was awesome

Let's hope The 2022 Vols show up with MORE "Juice"

I was there as well. Clemson ran a fumblerooski.

Fun fact: Had the BCS system adopted the 5 BCS Bowl system that it did 2 years later, that year’s Tennessee would have been selected to a BCS bowl instead of the Peach Bowl (not BCS Championship game, just BCS Bowl game…clarifying that part).
