Without stokes and McRae I doubt 35 points will win many games

Stokes is a junior. Also, like I said, quitting on next year before this year is over is awesome. I would love to have you in my foxhole. I'm sure you would be the first to be tossed over the top.

I am amazed how so many people have flipped due to two games, what about the other 90+ are they playing really well right now? Sure. Too often it is boring basketball I have watched too many games where I wasn't sure they were going to hit 40. This team has a lot of talent, this is what they should have been doing all year. Trust me no one is coming after Martin, he will be here next year and knowing the morons in power he will get an extension

90+ what?

So because I don't like the product on the court,

They are not a "product". They are proud young men playing/fighting as hard for UT and their coach as anyone I have ever seen anyone play for the Vols. If you can't appreciate that fine - I hope you don't mind that some of us do enjoy it?
My opinion is that some people thrashed Cuonzo so much that they have very hard time admitting they were wrong - so they say product is boring, blah, blah, ...
I leave it up to you to decide whether that is what's really bothering you.
By the way, props to OP for being man enough to step up and admit he was wrong.

So because I don't like the product on the court, that some how means I can't talk about it?

Well it does bring into question how you can intelligently talk about something you dont watch, pay attention to, or care about.

Also in question, is how you can draw those conclusions if you don't watch anymore.

Never seen anything like it, they must really be excited for next years 12 total wins. And I'm not talking about football

I'm excited for next season no matter how bad we are. Aren't you excited about the upcoming football season even though they may only win 5 games?

I got throttled on here for making a post about a week ago for saying that Martin deserved to be the coach next yr. I wonder what the people who gave me a hard time about it is thinking now. GO VOLS!

These players seem to believe in their coach. They play hard and are peaking exactly when they're supposed to based on how CBB is set up. I admit, I've scratched my head more than once this season.

Problem is, Pearl should have never been coveted, IMO. It's such a weak mindset to think no one else was capable (or willing) to lead this team successfully. As it appears now, it was ignorant to promote that idiotic petition. Funny how some have disappeared after that debacle.

Absolutely there were games this year where CCM made some poor choices that should have alarmed fans. He's had his ups and downs, but the most important thing is how you finish. We're doing pretty good so far.

Watching ESPN today, one of the commentators turned to Pearl and said he thought one of UT's problems this year was the distraction of the BBB petition and having Bruce's name hovering over the program. Bruce didn't disagree.

Posters that can't enjoy our current success really need to check their fan cards to see if they're UT fans or not? Stop whining about the coach and start supporting the players.

Are you hoping for a bad season next year? I can understand you not liking the coach. Deserved or not, I can understand disliking a coach. But do you dislike CCM so much you want the Vols to fail?

Yeah because scoring 86 points is a very boring product. Anyone who has this mindset should gtfo of this board, quit watching college basketball and just watch NBA where everyone except the Nuggets score 110-120 per game. Besides if you haven't noticed, a lot of the NCAA tournament games so far have been in the 50s and 60s and many of those were entertaining to watch.

Can someone please explain to me when a team sport became all about the coach? We have a winning team, yet the coach still draws all the focus. WTH is up with that?

Of course, no players will step up to fill the voids left by departing players.... Guess it's good CCM preaches tough defense. Hopefully we'll hold opponents to 34.

Most people on here now are only concerned with what has happened over the last two games, choosing not to think about a lot of bad basketball over martins previous 90+ games at UT

And you choose to selectively forget a lot of great basketball Cuonzo's teams have also played over his time at UT (before this tournament). Destroying UK last year, doubling up Vandy this year, beating very good UF teams (last year), smoking a great Virginia team this year, and those are just off the top of my head.

What's up is that a bunch (thousands) of morons signed the petition to have a great coach (and man) fired. So obviously how the team/coach reacted to that rightfully draws a lot of attention (and our fan base looks ridiculous).

I am sure there will be games where 35 is pretty accurate. Some of you don't have memories of anything that happened before Thursday

And you don't have a clue of how basketball works apparently. Not surprising for the guy who believes 35 points is the new norm for an offense that averaged more than twice that.

All I've heard from several posters on here how bad next year will be?? I just don't get it. JR is a mini JMR at this point, mix in the others as DT will be better at point, and RH getting year to get stronger. Heck I think we may surprise some people!! They see what defense does so it may not take all year to come around!!! Should be fun to watch em grow!!!
