I'd really like to know who it was out there manipulating all of these Gruden rumors that so many "sources" were buying into. I guess we'll never know.

Its not the OG's fault nor their sources. It all goes back to Dave Hart not getting it done and you can even say some of the fault is on Gruden. He could have easily took some figures down and at least met us 60/40.

I read a NFL journalist take on it today and he said Gruden not being our new coach is a complete surprise to him and that Gruden to Tenn was the worst secret ever in the NFL!!

Nobody lied. I had people telling me the same thing. They were in the hanger this afternoon. Dave Hart dropped the ball and there is no one else to blame. I will say i was told the AD offices have alot of grumblings going on today!!!

Little DTO - Hey man, I know the stuff you were hearing, at least a lot of it I think. It was harder to believe it would NOT get done than it was to believe it would.

Anyway, care to take a shot at your idea about why the deal didn't get done? It's a blank on my end thus far. No one is saying much.

I could care less what you think. Heres you a way to think about it since i have to draw you a picture.

If i say i was told lil johnny will jump off a bridge today at 3 and that Hart is bringing him to the bridge and Hart never shows up with lil johnny nobody has lied, Hart dropped the ball and didnt get him to the bridge.

The reason why he didnt get him to the bridge?? Well you would have to ask Hart that question not the OG's!!!

DTO, way to man up.

I appreciate your input and believe that you were sincere. Obviously things did not turn out as we wanted. As to why, I believe one need look no further than the post of LWS when he stated that "big jim always wins." There is a definite thread of commonality that runs right up to the current future ex coach and I hope that pious sob enjoys every home game with the other 50k fans that will be in Neyland.
