Pretty sure that’s why there is an “Ignore” button. If you don’t like what certain people write you can choose to not see what they have to say. There are definitely lines that should never be crossed on here, just like any other conversation you have in the real world, but you cannot take people’s freedom of speech away. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions/beliefs.

The instances of "recruits" looking at these boards is highly exaggerated. This is almost a Boomer medium in their eyes. It's far too slow and limited for this generation. They use Twitter, Instagram, and likely something I've not yet heard of. I suggested your assertion to my recently graduated college football player...and he laughed at me.

But by all mean, let's muzzle speech you deem unnecessary Comrade...for the "recruits".

Freedom of speech should prevail in America! I've seen some very dumba$$ posts, but you gotta allow it. Besides, there will be plenty of rebuttals to keep people reasonable.

VN is so influential that it steers kids to or from the Vols? Impressive, but ridiculous. I don’t care for many opinions that are expressed, but to think they can sway a recruit is a bit self-agrandizing...

*note, we already have it by the way. This isn’t exactly blank slate. Go back and read community guidelines. Not saying they’re wrong, but we already have moderation here (except when it comes to Dickel).

I agree, but I’d like to see some mechanism for immediately calling out the inauthentic posters. Maybe a scoring system? Not just well-known, but something around community credibility...???

Feel free to start your own site and you can decide what is credible and what should not be posted.

Absolutely agree. You have the right to say what you want, short of inciting panic or riot, and we all have the freedom to think any statements are idiotic.

That’s the balance all of us have to walk before opening our mouths.
