That because of the office Barack will be in, that he will realize some of the things he supports the country is not ready for or doesn't need. I really hope he becomes a middle road guy but I am not holding my breathe. It's time to support our leader, even if you don't agree with him, because this is OUR country and we can't be divided anymore. I really hope he does well and represents us well. Good Luck Barack, you will need it.

delusions of middle of the road from this admin and congress are absurd. He's the most liberal man to ever become our president. Bush should be flogged daily for this predicament and Clinton the same for giving us Bush.

I disagree with most of his stances, but I think we all need to watch out for the Speaker of the House as much or more than we do Obama.

I know, I just don't think he can do things like he did in the Senate in the White House. There are just too many checks and balances in there to let him do too much.

i'm not sure why i have to support him. Clinton had quite a large contingent of non-supporters and obviously Bush does now. What does me supporting someone I have so many disagreements with show?

I tend to try and go by what the Bible says as far as our leaders go. I may not like or agree with them, but they are men and prayer is a powerful tool.

what does the Bible say?

I will definitely be praying for the country and I will obey the laws given to us our leaders (written in the Bible as Caesar), but I don't know that I have to support the man.

You are 100 % right. We're called to pray for our leaders....even if we don't like them.

Look guys, could we really have elected McCain knowing that someone INEXPERIENCED would have been a heartbeat away from the presidency?

It's much better to elect a guy whose experience amounts to 143 days in the Senate. HOPE! CHANGE! YES WE CAN!

I too don't understand why I "have" to support him. I've heard nothing but pure disdain about Bush from those that didn't like him for 8 years, so I see nothing that says suddenly because that I have to love Obama.

Word up. As an Episcopalian, our liturgy includes prayers for the president every Sunday. Been praying for Bush for almost eight years in spite of my utter contempt for him.

The only thing that will be changed is Obama's pants after he craps them when he gets in over his head after oh....say the first 100 days.

So we just keep being divided as a country and keep on with partisan politics. Yeah, that sounds like it's worked over the past 12 years.
