haha this is hilarious, this is the crap that people are posting on facebook

"1st the Super Bowl now the "White House"! MY PRESIDENT IS BLACK! I LUV IT!!!!!"

my status on facebook is a complete 180 degree turn on that. It's definitely not supporting the president-elect, so eric wouldn't like it.

Word up. As an Episcopalian, our liturgy includes prayers for the president every Sunday. Been praying for Bush for almost eight years in spite of my utter contempt for him.

The president needs that more than anything else we can offer them...like them or not. I personally supported Bush in '04, though I didn't agree with everything he did. Its going to be harder to do with someone I didn't vote for, but It's what I'm called to do.

I voted for Bush in '04 because I felt he was the better choice of the two main nominations I was given. That was a mistake on my part. I voted today, but did not vote for Obama or McCain. I probably could have supported McCain because I agreed with many of his ideas and principles. I can not support a man that I have so many disagreements with.

Hey, keep living under your rock then and supporting just whoever you would like. That attitude is exactly why our country is heading the direction it is. We used to be a country of working together to solve problems, now it's democrat and republicans solving them. I guess the head in the sand direction works for some. I don't agree with him nor do I support his agenda, but I support him as a man and someone who has my life in his hands. Keep up the negativity though, it suits you.

I completely agree...The simple fact that these 2 yahoos were the best America could come up with is sickening to me.

Had McCain won, do you really think Obama supporters would just suddenly start supporting him?

Nope.

Who knows, that didn't happen and I don't even support McCain either as far as his views go. I just support my leaders and let them know that I understand they have a HARD job and I am praying for them.

How so?? I see who America elected and whether or not I like it, I'm here and this is my country so I guess I had better suck it up and go forward with my life. I definitely believe that we should support our leaders and pray for them no matter their political affiliation.

If he really has your life in his hands, I feel pretty sorry for you.

Why should we support someone, who will eventually screw up a job that we have? For instance my job?

That Pollyanna world has never existed to the degree that some seem to think. Partisan politics have been around since the beginning of time.

You guys seem to think I am unaware of what he is about, yet I have said several times I don't agree with his agenda. Obviously, I know about partisan politics, I just wish we could act as American's and what best for the country instead of trying to find out which platform works best.

I could leave tomorrow if I felt like it. My life sure as hell isn't in any mortal's hands but my own.

If he screws up and says the wrong things to the wrong people, I bet your mind could be persuaded. Hey, I agree though as far as when it's my time to go.

I'm not really sure what you mean. He'll influence my life with the decisions he makes, but if I tire of his influence I can always leave it behind. Australia, here I come.

I bet if the D and R are taken off of people's names in an election, then the American people would actually have to learn what each candidate is about instead of looking at the D and R.

In Barack's case that's not 100% true.
