Since the Battle at Bristol is now official, how great would it be for Tennessee fans to get John Ward to come out of retirement and call this game?

Now I don't know his health status or if he would even would be interested, but since this is being billed as the biggest college game in history, John Ward calling the game would be only fitting.

So tell Mr. Ward to dust off that old microphone and give it one more go!

I'm sure he is enjoying retirement too, but I do see him around ever so often. I saw him at one of the earlier games this year while we were waiting on the Vol Walk.

I must be honest I really just wanted to see the wrath of Volnation :)
We it worked on me anyway haha. I remember on Saturdays on the farm we would turn the radio on to listen to John Ward while we worked. Every time he would say Give Him Six it would send chills down my back.

Since 2015 is the 125th year of UT football, 2016 marks 125 full years, so why not have him call the game? Timing fits perfectly.

This is an outstanding idea. Bob, Beeeeeert Berberblblamp, and Mr. Ward would make a great team as long as Bob doesn't speak. But, seriously, this is POTY material.

Any occasion to hear John back in the broadcast booth would be great. On the other hand, it is utterly impossible to top his farewell message, "THE NATIONAL CHAMPION IS CLAD IN BIG ORANGE!!" That's what you call going out at the very peak of your game.
