I'd like to see Nico get substantial playing time Saturday against Kentucky.

I just feel like it's time. I feel like he's that good. I feel like he will contribute to this season, a definite asset, the experience will be invaluable. I have seen a lot of qb's at UT play and it's his turn to play substantially, and it keeps him happy, in case he's not.

Won’t happen. We need a running QB against the Cats and Joe is definitely stepping into that role. Nico still needs to beef up.
UConn however should be his coming out party after Joe works the first half.
Then we can decide who gives us the best shot at Missouri.
But Joe played well enough Saturday to continue as QB1. It might have been his best game in Orange all things considered

Have you been watching him at practice? Have you talked to Heupel? What makes you think you know more about Nico's readiness than the head coach?

While I understand the enthusiasm, and while I would also like to see Nico get playing time (in the event of a blowout), we need to understand as fans that none of us have the same bearing on the pulse of the QB room as Heupel and his staff. Sure, Joe plays below where he should play, but that still might be better than whatever Nico's capable of in this offense.

IF this team loses to Kensucky, AND Joe plays really bad, we might see him sooner than later. I think he gets a lot of reps against UCONN regardless, and maybe Vandy.

I don't see them starting or playing Nico against UGAly regardless of how Joe plays.

Why do fans ALWAYS fall in love with unproven QB recruits?

I do think Nico will do well l here, especially under the coaching of the CJHs. But have we not seen enough busts to at least slow down the cries for the next Harrison Bailey?

Getting to see what he can do will be great. But my biggest fear is he makes a few mistakes because he isnt ready yet and the very ones begging for him will turn on him like a rabid dog. Turn on him and the coaching staff.

So for me, I hope to see Nico when he is as ready as he can be for the time he is needed.

I could give two sh..s about seeing him make freshman mistakes or see him get blasted by a 300lb lineman before he has a full year in the nutrition and weight programs.

Truth! These folks wanting Nico, they know more than Heupel. Nico gets his shot next year

There’s no need for Nico to play this year unless Milton gets hurt or we’re up by three-four TDs.

This is his team next year and he knows that.

Fitting that his best game in Orange was a major choke job where we scored 0 points in the second half.

Thanks, coach. How do his throws look? WHAT? You've never actually stood on the field next to him and seen him throw? Well, how's he doing studying film? WHAT? You've never actually seen his film study? How's his conditioning going? WHAT? You don't know about his strength and conditioning?

What makes you feel that it's time, coach?

SEC game, on the road, at night. Plus a million other reasons why this won’t happen.

I would like to see him play as well, but that's only going to happen if JM3 gets hurt or we have a massive lead in the 4th. I'm hoping for the latter.

This board's obsession with playing a guy who is the future, but isn't ready physically, is comical. CJH's mistake isn't not playing Nico, it's not going into the portal and getting a viable one year option in the likely event he wasn't up to the task.

Understandable that anyone would be hoping for a spark for this offense. But it should be no for Nico vs Ky.
