I'd like a spicy chicken sandwich and small waffle fries. Let's see who gets their wish first.I just feel like it's time. I feel like he's that good. I feel like he will contribute to this season, a definite asset, the experience will be invaluable. I have seen a lot of qb's at UT play and it's his turn to play substantially, and it keeps him happy, in case he's not.
OP has "feelings"Have you been watching him at practice? Have you talked to Heupel? What makes you think you know more about Nico's readiness than the head coach?
While I understand the enthusiasm, and while I would also like to see Nico get playing time (in the event of a blowout), we need to understand as fans that none of us have the same bearing on the pulse of the QB room as Heupel and his staff. Sure, Joe plays below where he should play, but that still might be better than whatever Nico's capable of in this offense.
Agreed. The playcalling was beautiful in the first half. We had them off balance. Only issue is we bog down in the red zone. When the field gets short that’s when Joe isn’t the most reliable.Won’t happen. We need a running QB against the Cats and Joe is definitely stepping into that role. Nico still needs to beef up.
UConn however should be his coming out party after Joe works the first half.
Then we can decide who gives us the best shot at Missouri.
But Joe played well enough Saturday to continue as QB1. It might have been his best game in Orange all things considered

How many times has Nico appeared in a game? Is there still a chance the he can redshirt this season? Wouldn’t that be preferable in the long view?
Admittedly, I’ve not kept up with Nico’s status.
How has he been in the practices you’ve been to lately? I heard Castles say in an interview the other day he is still learning every day.I just feel like it's time. I feel like he's that good. Its been stated by people in the Know, Nico's first start will be 2024 barring any injury.Won’t happen. We need a running QB against the Cats and Joe is definitely stepping into that role. Nico still needs to beef up.

I'd like to see the 30 year old version of me when I look into the mirror, but that's not happening either.
