Idiots booing at the end of the game

IT was weak sometimes.  BECAUSE THERE WASNT ANYTHING TO CHEER ABOUT.

I said what I said to Milo because he questions the crowd when the Vols needed it.  THOSE ARE THE TIMES IT WAS LOUD.

How the hell can you guys sit there all those miles away and pretend to know everything about a crowd you werent a part of.

You aren't right about EVERYTHING you type.

The crowd was loud when it needed to be.  As for the booing, if Fulmer and company don't like it, score more and be more aggressive.

I was disgusted with the effort as well, I just chose not to boo.

:stinker2: man you need to calm down. you must have missed that OU was beat today. Would you like to be in Oklahoma's shoes right now. We won and we won aginst a pretty darn good team. the stadium never seemed loud and that is our opinon. you have yours but dont go calling everyone out, cause more people then just milo were saying that.

Dont tell me to clam down. I will continue to defend MY team and MY Stadium REGARDLESS who wants to spout off lies and untruths. That's my right. I'm not calling him or you any names, and I'm not cursing you a bluestreak.

I know I'm not one of "the gang" but that's not what this is about. I'm just sharing MY opinion and that is MY right.

I would THINK that "Fans" that can't go to the game would ASK someone that went how it was instead of dogging our stadium and calling it an opinion. But then again, I'm not that surprised.

It was hot as hell. I'm sunburned and my voice is gone. It was a nice start, and the fans BEFORE and during the first 10 minutes were great. Louder than I thought for UAB, but that died down when the team died.

Ainge looked AWFUL. Clausen did his usual great job of moving the team when it needed it. Everyone was ready for Clausen to stay in and was shocked when Ainge went back in late and threw that last INT.

VolWalk was exciting, Trooper was as animated as last year.

They do an annoying announcement about the replay system before the game, where Denton repeats himself too much while trying to explain replay to all the oldtimers.

Made it out of the parking lot in great time, and home in better time. About to eat a pizza and watch some more football.

Whoa whao, calm down everybody. I'm just saying that Neyland stadium was uncharacteristically quiet today. That's all. Then to top it off with the booing, I was just unimpressed with the crowd at Neyland today. That's all.

Everybody here has to admit that this was definitley not the best crowd Neyland has had.

But hey, we won, I'm happy and I'm going to work. :peace:

Have fun at work, but like I said, Neyland wasn't as quiet as it seemed to you west coasters. :p

Yeah, going to Florida in two weeks. Thank GOD it's a night game.

I don't think it will be a Simms/Applewhight because I think Phil will play the better guy more. Brown didn't do that with those two.

And why aren't you a part of the gang, Beltway? I consider you a part. And for what it's worth, I agree with YOU about the stadium.

I may step into a big pile of horse hockey here, but Beltway, do you remember the other day when you said that sometimes folks took you the wrong way.

Maybe that's happening again.

I ain't tryin' to take sides here, but while the crowd was great, I have heard Neyland louder, at least on the telly. I'm having some serious back problems and wasn't there, but for part of the game it was more laid back than usual.

That's just my 2 Lincolns.

Just let it be a friendly difference of opinion on both sides guys.

U 2 Milo .. , not that you weren't or anything. :biggrin2:

Smile fellers, be happy .. we WON!!

Thanks. Just doesn't feel like Im very well liked here. I know I am outspoken, and people generally read more into my posts than I intend. Like him telling me to calm down, I'm clam, I just wanted to make sure everyone knew how the Stadium was from someone that was there. IT just all comes out wrong I guess.

Well, as one who has "taken you wrong" in the past, and been "taken wrong" as well, I say let's let bygones be bygones. We are ALL Vol fans here. There are no cliques in the VolNation.

I love everybody.

You know, I've always said that if 99.9% of the hard feelings caused on message boards were held in person there'd be no hard feelings at all.

People have a hard time decyphering here. You lack intonation and body language.

I'll admit, sometimes you get a little prickly, but hey .. I do too.

You've disagreed with me several times. Shucks, it never bothers me if you want to be wrong. :biggrin2:

Count to 10. :p

Good!

Supposition is a killer.

Sometimes we get it in our head that a thing is a certain way when it isn't that way at all. Then our behavior begins to reflect what we THOUGHT was valid and it just grows like a tumbleweed in Texas.

Ainge knew Rick was going to play early.

He had to. I knew it.

Maybe Erik doesn't get the Tennessean. :D

If he can't take being out of the game a few series, I don't have much faith in him for pressure situations.

The crowd booing wasn't good at all. We should all be happy that we got out of there with a W today.

As for the crowd not being loud, it's pretty much right on. We weren't very loud early and we only got loud when the team really needed it. In all fairness, there was hardly anything to cheer about anyway.

This run up the middle and throwing 5 yards east and west gets pretty boring after a while. It seems that we don't have a vertical game anymore.......but hey, we won....that's something....

Whiteblood- Don't you think that we (the student section) was loud before the game, and early, as we were building our 10-0 lead? I was surprised how loud the place was, after that it was all downhill.

I agree Ainge seemed to be thrown out of sync, but this is really no different than last year with B.S. He should be a little more ready for that. I love Clausen, but I want Ainge to do well also. It'll take care of itself.

Yeah, I'll agree with that. The student section was going way before kickoff. Then like you said everything kind of fizzled out, but there wasn't much to cheer for.

Hats off to UAB for a hard fought game. They came to play today.
