Idiots booing at the end of the game

listen, i was one of those "idiots" booing. the day we had we deserved to let riggs at least take a chance to run the ball once more. i came to see the number 3 team in the nation. and i didnt see it at all.

i will say one thing. darryl hackney is a beast and will be a starter one day in the nfl.

the blazers have a bright future for the rest of the year.

I understand the frustration, but taking a knee was really the only call CPF could make in that situation.

i agree it was the right call. but we had time to run the ball at least one more time. then if that went no where down it.

the crowd was in and out of the game. i dont think we are nearly as loud as other crowds. but when our d needed it on that 4th down at the end. neyland was rocking and rolling.

hate to get off topic, but there are way to many old ppl, snobs and just straight up a**h**** that go to these games. most of them dont even cheer once the whole game. just sit and stair.

we need alot more enthusiasm and energy in there. and those ppl just are depressing.

"oh i got on my pretty skirt and my hair done. i am just here to look pretty." give me a break . get lost and let some real fans come to the game who will cheer and rasie hell.

great job to the student section though, man those guys are
nuts.

maybe it was me but it was hot at the game and i think that might have had an effect on some of the people cheering. Just remember an ugly W is better than a pretty loss. It doest matter if you win by 60 or 1 its still a W.

We should have thrown into the endzone, gone for 2, and onside kicked after that :thefinger:

The whole crowd at Neyland didn't seem too great today. The place was generally very quiet. It was TV so I couldn't hear it perfectly, but I'm pretty sure little 30,000 seat Reser Stadium at Oregon State has made more noise than Neyland did today. Then the booing at the end was terrible too.

One reason the crowd was so quiet because it was oppresively hot today. :focus: I have never been to a hotter football game. The concession stands in my section of the stadium ran out of water, then the Coke fountain cylanders ran out. By then end of the game the Coke guys were walking through the stands with cases of bottled Coke they had trucked in with crushed ice on top of them.

Many people left early, lots more were in the concourse watching the game in the shade. The EMT carts were heading through the concourse every 5 minutes with a different person suffering from heat exhaustion. Its now 10:00pm, and I am still feeling the effects of the heat. Upset stomach, headache, dizzyness :ill_h4h:

Ditto.

I wasn't going to blame the weather, but I am feeling some serious pain right now. Knees, Forearms and hands and my face are purple.

Thank God, because there is nothing sleazier than running up the score to save face in the media. If you’re than insecure about your team you don’t belong in the top 5.

Yep, its now tomorrow morning, and swelling has set in. My face looks like a tomato (except for the white sunglasses racoon eyes, lol) My g/f is much worse though..swelled and purple. She is still in bed, doesn't feel like getting up.

Thanks a lot AD Mike, this was SOO much better than a Sunday Night ESPN kickoff :realmad: <---blistered

I say everyone who was at the game who is now sunburned or sick, make use of the "Ask Mike" email section at utsports.com

Exactly!! I blame the heat on a lot of things yesterday. I was lucky, my seats were in the shade by the third quarter. I didn't think it was ever going to get there though. :ermm:

Yeah, I had some on. Still doesn't change the fact that it was hot as hades. I'm just glad it wasn't humid heat. Otherwise, it was a great day to play some football.

Running up the score is poor sportsmanship as well, the game was at hand .

Correct, the nation is laughing at that performance. 7 more points would have eased a really poor performance.
