Kidding. Who knows? There's a thought going around that they would hold at 13 for a season. Others speculate FSU to the SEC is already in the works too.

Rumors are the SEC wants Oklahoma. If that happens, two current west teams will shift to the east to make room for TAMU and OU. Not really a big fan of this idea, we're the SouthEasternConference. If we're going to expand, I favor looking at teams in the region. JMO

Geographic boundaries don't matter anymore, unfortunately. Just look at TCU to the Big East. All about TV markets now.

Could shift Alabama and Auburn to SEC east. I think they would be next to shift, geographically anyway.

Yep. In a few years everything will be carved out and most the fuss about the adjustments will be all for not.

Would only shift one west team to have seven in each division.

If Alabama and Auburn move to the East, how screwed are we?

Alabama
Auburn
Florida
Georgia
Kentucky
South Carolina
Tennessee
Vanderbilt

That could be pretty close to the standings if you knock Kentucky below Tennessee....

The big easy was only jumping on TCU because of their recent success. Not to mention them trying to open up recruiting in tejas.

In the big picture, I dont think recruiting is a huge factor. Some players may prefer a conference over another as recently witnessed in vol-land. Doesnt seem like the majority.

Expanding the business footprint is the driving factor, and Im not hating.

Saying the SEC will be impossible to get a NC is probably not looking as far into the future as the folks making the decision. After this many in a row I doubt they want to give that up just to expand for some meaningless reason.

And for that reason it'll never happen. UT, UGA, UF, UA, & AU would never voluntarily put themselves in the same division of the SEC. ATM may join the SEC but I feel pretty confident that the divisions will look nothing like this.

Dynamics change, so predicting future results off current standings is not going to be accurate.

What about this for 14 teams? Go to a North and South instead of east and west if OU and A&M come in. I would rather leave Oklahoma out and add a Clemson or V Tech.

The North will be Arkansas, Vandy, Kentucky, Tennessee, South Carolina, Georgia, Oklahoma

The South will be Alabama, Auburn, Florida, LSU, MSU, Ole Miss and A&M.

After a brief scan it seems close. Someone has to get Vandy. Good call IMO as far as division evenness.

If the SEC allows this crap to happen there is no reason in college athletics. We all know everything is about money so why would the powerful SEC want the cast offs of the Big 12? They just are pissed because Texas is hogging all the revenue. I would rather bring in Memphis or Tulane. Screw all those whiny ass Big 12 cry babies. Texas has the Texas market anyway.

Yeah, everyone wants to be in conference where one team is hogging the revenue. Sign me up for that!

Then we can call those looking for a more even opportunity rejects like their programs suck all while making sweeping generalizations about a state the size of Texas.
