If Jimbo is fired, does this hurt or help Tennessee football in anyway?

I see A&M whiffing on the coaches they think will answer the phone (Lanning). Any really good coach uses A&M as a blunt force club to beat money out of the school they already coach.
Urban Meyer's name being mentioned is indicative of the expectations.

Then they get around to the Kiffen's and Kingsbury's, who will be very interested.
If fans show their asses at the UGA game, don’t be surprised if Heupel decides he’s over this fanbase and starts putting feelers out there. A&M has a near unlimited budget. They could easily force us to pay him $15M a year to stay.

Lanning has everything he needs at Oregon. He should be on everyone’s list but to me this is a pay raise contract opportunity only to make Oregon pay him long term.
From what I've read, Lanning is staying in Eugene for the long haul. Check out Oregonlive.com

After the crap shows he produced at South Carolina last year and at Mizzou this year, tell him to get his $15 million over there somewhere then, I'm good with it. He ain't all that y'all.

Then I hope you’re prepared to lose to Nico and most of our current recruiting class wearing maroon uniforms.

Portal opportunities. WR from Memphis Evan Stewart and Walter Nolan maybe.
Texas A&M star wide receiver Evan Stewart didn’t travel with the team for the Aggies’ game vs. No. 14 LSU and won’t play vs. the Tigers, sources tell @247sports
