If Kiffin Stayed

It's b/c y'all didn't matter to us that year...we were looking ahead to LSU (kinda like this year). We crapped the bed in that game and still won. Kiffin = Cancer, I'll say he's a fool based on his behavior and UT and the SEC is better off without him. I doubt Dooley is the answer either, but I like him. He's not a fool and probably a better coach than what he's showing right now.

If I were an Alabama fan, I'd be happy that UT was employing a coach who didn't have a chance in hell at ever beating them.

If Kiffin stayed, we would be headed for probation and our program would be set back for several more years

That position is about as stupid as those claiming "Kiffin was a joke of a coach" or those claiming that Dooley is absolutely going to bring home championships.

Really? Ill be honest, if a rival hired a coach that was of no threat I would love him.

I read it as him saying Dooley would never come close to beating Bama, ever. If he was simply responding to a hypothetical, I retract my statement.

We wouldn't have James Stone making bad snaps and that probably gets us a win against UGA. Just saying...

Still confused, what is the connection between Kiffin and fixing bad snaps? Did he have a center committed because I don't remember one.

They have 1 loss...

Pete Carroll had one undefeated season at USC. You think he's a bad coach too? It also wasn't in his 2nd year.

ya 1 loss in the Pac-12.. how many do you think he would have with our schedule this year? I would be willing to bet he would have the same record with much better talent.

I think the implication is that Stone wouldn't be here at all. I've defended Kiffin in this thread, but I don't think we'd be better off if we just flat out didn't have Stone, he's just been a disaster at center this year. Hopefully the move to a different role on the O-line will allow him to be more productive.

Dooley also nabbed Nashville offensive lineman James Stone in a battle with Alabama. Stone was relatively quiet throughout the process, but his high school coach said Stone wouldn't have signed with the Vols had Kiffin still been coach.

So the OP seems to think that James Stone being here is a negative for our team? Well that makes sense. :eek:lol:

Like I said, I've defended Kiffin, but I certainly don't agree with the OP implying Stone has been a complete negative for the team. I don't really know why the coaching staff felt the need to mess with his snap or continue to have him play center when he's struggled so much, but he should be okay now that he's switched positions.

Everytime I see this thread title I think:

"If my aunt had balls, she'd be my uncle."

And then I can't decide whether the Thread title, or the statement about my aunt is most comical.
