If Kiffin Stayed

Dooley had been passed over by Auburn in favor of Gene Chizik the previous season. And that was after a winning season (still his only winning season as a head coach, by the way). It was his only decent chance to get into a real conference and he knew it.

Didn't address my point.

SGM, I hate to disagree with you but from my understanding NO one wanted this job. If you recall the list of folks asked was extremely long. I was in Iraq during this hire, so maybe I missed out on some of the insights going during the process, so please forgive if I am wrong. Regardless of where he was, you don't grow from crap hole to another.

How many of the other coaches UT offered were at crapholes like Louisiana Tech?

You sound like a guy who had a bad break up and 1 year 1/2 later still talks about her like she's perfect. Just move on

You are absolutely correct, sir. They act like jilted lovers. The lovel of delusion is hard to fathom. You would think that Kiffin is greater than Saban in their minds.

They should just move on out to L.A.

So you didn't support our coach? You wanted him gone for 3 years while he still coached at Tennessee. Pot meet kettle.

I liked fulmer and supported him like most people did but I knew that he wasn't going to be able to compete with the Urbans and sabans in the SEC! I was glad when he was gone but just because I wanted a new coach doesn't mean I didn't support the one we had I hoped he would turn it around and I think most fans hoped he would as well but during 08 I was glad and sad in a way when he announced his departure.

He went to UGA because UF didn't offer him. He grew up in Gainesville as a Gator fan.

He lived in Florida for like 10 years, went to high school/college in Georgia. Georgia didn't offer him either... He walked on.

Back on topic. Can you tell me who we offered? I was certain we offered Calhoun but you must have some inside info. Got a list?

Yep. More briliance from the Kiffin Sheep. Says a lot....

He's actually right on this one. Muschamp grew up in Fla. and was a gator fan, I believe.

If he'd taken the Ga job he'd say it was his dream job too because he played there.

He almost beat the National Champs in his first year with way less talent. He beat South Carolina with way less talent. He beat UGA with way less talent.
It's b/c y'all didn't matter to us that year...we were looking ahead to LSU (kinda like this year). We crapped the bed in that game and still won. Kiffin = Cancer, I'll say he's a fool based on his behavior and UT and the SEC is better off without him. I doubt Dooley is the answer either, but I like him. He's not a fool and probably a better coach than what he's showing right now.

We would not be eligible for bowl games, we would have scholarships reductions, but hey we might have a guy that could snap a ball so it all evens out.
