If KY Hoops Didn't Have Enough Troubles Already..

different coaches, different styles of play....Not to Mention Pelphrey's team has lost a total of two games thusfar.... Gillispie's squad has 5 losses.

They've both played the exact same type of teams. Difference is Providence and OU are more respectable than Gardner-Webb and UAB.
UAB would kick the living hell out of Oklahoma. They'd also beat Providence's injury ravaged crew.

Is that why he signed with the Knicks before Tubby announced he was leaving?

According to archived media reports (I just looked it up), Tubby accepted the Minnesota job on Thursday, March 22, and was officially announced as their coach at a press conference on Friday, March 23. Morris signed with the Knicks on March 23. That doesn't prove that Morris would have stayed had Tubby stayed (closeness of the timeline could be advocated either way), but Morris did give Tubby his word.

And to think they almost hired Pelphrey. They would have been in for single digits win total with him at the helm.

Maybe. I don´t know too many UK fans who felt that he was quite ready to HC at Kentucky.

Morris promised Tubby that he would stay through his senior season in return for the work Tubby did in regaining his eligibility. Lucas hinted in his UF announcement that he didn't like Billy G.

You got a link to that stuff?

Kentucky is Kentucky, bottom line. Eventually, it will all sort out, and they´ll be back.

Dickens,

I do believe I made it very clear that the Nay-sayers in Kentucky will be happy AFTER he gets HIS guys in there. Right now, he is working with left-overs.

And much like Mc Cat said, "It will all sort out".

I tried to find one. In regards to Lucas, I saw it myself. It was Houston TV. The stories that just came up on an Internet search don't mention it. At the press conference at his high school, he basically said something about each school that he didn't pick. I mentioned it on this board at the time, and I couldn't find that thread either. I'm sure I wasn't quoting him perfectly in my earlier post, but that's essentially what he said.
In regards to Morris, I can't remember where I heard that - possibly from fans - lord knows, I know a ton. I just found this excerpt from an old nba.com article that suggests he may have stayed but not for sure.

------
He admitted to the MSG crew that he didn't consider leaving Kentucky in the middle of the season. Since the Wildcats' dance ended short of their ultimate goal, why not try out something else, right? That and Tubby Smith's departure helped speed along any decision. "It was the final factor that made me comfortable leaving," Morris told the New York Daily News. "I was teetering back and forth whether I should come back. It would have been a tougher decision for me (if Smith had stayed) because I was comfortable with his system."
------

Without proof or clear recollection, I apologize for possibly putting words in Morris' mouth, but Jai Lucas said what I said he said.

Chris Lofton and CJ Watson, both of whom are better than Ramel Bradley or Joe Crawford.

He asked what Buzz Peterson left Bruce Pearl. I answered his question.

That makes more sense. And I completely agree. Kentucky isn't necessarily talent starved, but they have had better.

Buzz also originally recruited Tyler Smith... he was building up a lot of talent on the roster. Too bad he couldn't coach it worth a damn.
