I hope Santa leaves two large, unclothed men under your tree lathered in CriscoWhat you're suggesting isn't about Joe, it's about Heupel. If you think he's playing Joe despite Nico being better, that's not about Joe.
Next year and all other years won't be different if you're correct. Heupel isn't the guy.
You say it plainly:
In other words, you think Heupel won't do what it takes to help the team. That's a fine opinion, but it's about Heupel, not Joe.
Partly true. Partly not. I don’t think Nico would’ve came in and lit the world on fire as a true freshmen. I’m realistic. After last years bowl, Joe was certainly the starter. However, he seemed to regress, not progress. I do believe Nico could’ve given us comparable play to Joe, all while building important experience for next year. I think the obvious goal was to redshirt Nico and I think that was silly given joes level of play. Redshirt is a thing of the past for elite players. I do think heupel botched that. Time will tell. He makes the big bucks. Not me.What you're suggesting isn't about Joe, it's about Heupel. If you think he's playing Joe despite Nico being better, that's not about Joe.

My biggest issue and the thing I'm having the hardest time understanding is that Joe struggled in his first year and Hooker was kept on the bench until there was no choice. I feel like he would have started all 3 years and there is NOTHING to show otherwise. There is no proof that Nico or Moore would have been worse.Partly true. Partly not. Before he took over for Milton, HH was not "kept on the bench."My biggest issue and the thing I'm having the hardest time understanding is that Joe struggled in his first year and Hooker was kept on the bench until there was no choice. Joe struggled for about a half and then got hurt and didn’t start another game until Hooker blew his knee about 20 games later. My biggest issue and the thing I'm having the hardest time understanding is that Joe struggled in his first year and Hooker was kept on the bench until there was no choice. Not real sure what you think you just accomplished…. Here I’ll reword it for you. HH was kept second on the depth chart at QB when he obviously shouldn’t have been. Before he took over for Milton, HH was not "kept on the bench."
He played in the BG game, and Pitt was the second game in 2021.
I don't know what you're talking about, and you don't either.
I think HH was actually 3rd on the depth chart before the 2021 OW game. Not real sure what you think you just accomplished…. Here I’ll reword it for you. HH was kept second on the depth chart at QB when he obviously shouldn’t have been.
I’m not calling you out or anything… I get what you’re saying.Yes!! Exactly what I'm saying, otherwise it's wasted opportunity for gaining experience
Almost sounds like you’re trying to say you don’t know what you have with some athletes until they hit the field under the lights. Interesting.I think HH was actually 3rd on the depth chart before the 2021 OW game.
He had the game's only INT in that game. Explosive Offense Shines As Orange Tops White, 42-37 - University of Tennessee Athletics
You remember that, right?
You've got this.
He committed under Pruitt.
He was benched as a starter at VPI. Many on this board accused him of "quitting" when he was ill on the sidelines at Tech.
He gets his chance here (thank goodness he did), and suddenly everything was obvious the whole time but only to the people who never attended practice and play hindsight games.
The idea that Heupel will not play the QB he thinks has the best chance of winning is nonsense.
