If Ok St wins I guess Bama can't win title # 87

Ok state deserves it. Bama had their shot.
I don't see how anyone could honestly believe this, unless you just don't want to see Alabama have a shot at another title which I can understand. When it comes down to it, one team lost in OT to the number one team in the country and the other lost to an unranked team.

Curb stomping vs. Competitve ballgame

Pretty tough choice.

They lost on their home field... they've had their shot.

Oklahoma State had their shot as well but they lost to unranked Iowa State. See how that works?

It wasn't even a fluke loss or anything, they were just straight-up outplayed by a .500 ballclub.

Lsu went into bama and beat them. Osu lost at iowa st when the last thing on anyones mind was football. Why should bama get another shot when another team is in a major conference with the same record.

1) they didn't cancel it. they can't have one because they no longer have 12 teams; that's the rule - for a conference championship game, you have to have at least 12 teams

2) it really doesn't hurt them. All the polls care about with these is that the team still played that last week (in fact the computers add points in conferences with 10 or less teams in order to try to balance out any unnatural advantage one might get...that or reward/balance the fact they can't play a conference championship with the fact that they play more conference games / play a full round robin schedule)

What hurt them more than anything was OU's loss to Baylor.

....no, that's not quite reciprocating/reversing what he was saying earlier, if we're being realistic/fair/honest here

...also, unless the loss is by a score or two or more in regulation, I'm not sure the "straight up outplayed" can be anything more than just opinion

Sorry, still not sure what exactly "They had their shot and lost" means.

Right now? LSU and Ok state.

I don't think anyone can really believe that. A team that lost to an unranked team and has a defense ranked 107. A team that beat a really bad oklahoma team that lost to an unranked texas tech. It may be LSU/ Ok st, and I will be cheering LSU on when they run all over them, can you just imagine what that defense is going to do to that 28 year old qb. It will be ugly.

I look at it as you have had your shot. If you play again and win we will have a split NT.

Michigan and Ohio state a few years ago did not get a rematch and I don't think there should be one this year. But ESPN will rule the day... And that's a shame.

Of course you don't because it is Alabama. If it was tn you would think totally differently, but that is ok. The SEC is the best conference , and either way, the SEC will win the NC again this year. I don't see ut in this picture anytime soon. Alabama will be in a BCS bowl, and ut will be at home. So all is good.

Bama lost at home. OSU should get a chance. If anyone blew the chance it was bama.

The other thing that stands out is LSU won AT Alabama. That game has been played. Alabama had the advantage. They didn't win their division or conference. LSU plays an extra game on top of it , while Bama sits at home and expects to do nothing to earn a title shot. Bama may be the better team , but the fact is they didn't hold up their end of the deal. Saban has said it himself ,"If you don't win your conference , you don't deserve to play for the title." I'm sure he feels different at the moment , but it's not fair to OSU.
