lol. Yeah right. Spurrier took over in 1990. The 5 years prior to that here is UFs W/L record

89- (7-5)
88- (7-5)
87- (6-6)
86- (6-6)
85- (9-1)

Fulmer took over in 1992. Here is the previous 5 years before him:

91- (9-3)
90- (9-2-2)
89- (11-1)
88- (5-6)
87- (10–2-1)

Spurrier took over a much worse program.
Valid point BOT. It is conducive and makes sense. However, had Florida not gotten in trouble for cheating, they would have two of our SEC championships. Saying that, he walked into a gold mine of talent, minus Emmitt Smith. Other than against us, he rolled with that talent and had the the best record in the SEC; first year.

Spurrier was better than Fulmer at xs and Os. You put hypothetical of Manning with Spurrier. Manning loved Coach Cutcliffe. If he isn't calling the plays I don't think we get Peyton Manning. That in itself is hard to comprehend a Tennessee without Peyton after all the things he does to rep us.
