There were so many red flags in that original story and the photo was the most damning piece of evidence that something was not right. Not sure if she was just a misguided person or if she was acting in coordination with some rogue dirty tricks operation, but there is that appearance which isn't good Still, despite the fact that this was like teh most important story evah 24 hrs ago, I doubt the national networks touch it, nor should they -- even though they are totally "in the tank" for Obama and this is a very, very important story (at least it was yesterday afternoon before we knew it was fake).

I doubt any sort of organization was stupid enough to have her carve the "B" backwards and then claim something happened in the area of a recording device that didn't actually occur.

I tend to agree, but one organization (McCain campaign) was definitely stupid enough to spread the incendiary version of events to the press well before they had all the facts. This, despite the fact that is was painfully obvious to many (include some here) that it was suspicious, at best. Again, I don't think it's an important story now or then, but it was telling how quickly some jumped all over it before the the facts had been established.

That's the first thing I noticed. Told my gf that it was the worst part of the story.
