Nah that can't be. NBA coaches can't recruit at the college level. Look at all of Larry Brown's struggles at UCLA and Kansas :crazy::crazy:

Phil Jackson could go to Idaho and bring in stud talent.
A guy who is angry and small and couldnt ball who failed in the NBA as a head coach is not automatically going to bring in studs.

Because Tim Floyd needed $$$ to get recruits? After coming to USC from the NBA?
How exactly did he fail in the NBA? He's coached nearly 500 games as a head coach, and made the playoffs four times. Not to mention him having been a candidate for the Chicago Bulls opening & is a candidate for the Boston Celtics job, if it were to open.
All the while, he's 40 years old.
I'm sure a lot of coaches would love to fail as hard as he did.
