If There Is Indeed Mutual Interest Between Frank and UT...

Nah that can't be. NBA coaches can't recruit at the college level. Look at all of Larry Brown's struggles at UCLA and Kansas :crazy:

You are making a retarded straw man.

Phil Jackson could go to Idaho and bring in stud talent.

A guy who is angry and small and couldnt ball who failed in the NBA as a head coach is not automatically going to bring in studs.

So, he is automatically not going to pull good players? That makes a lot of sense. Good job MHF, you continue to top your own stupid arguments

He gets his intensity from his first Job a team manager under Bobbie (the chair thrower) Knight. He will be great if we can get him. He has to bee good there are no wel-fare jobs in the NBA.

How exactly did he fail in the NBA? He's coached nearly 500 games as a head coach, and made the playoffs four times. Not to mention him having been a candidate for the Chicago Bulls opening & is a candidate for the Boston Celtics job, if it were to open.

All the while, he's 40 years old.

I'm sure a lot of coaches would love to fail as hard as he did.

I guess you did not know that USC was on probation?

Because Tim Floyd needed $$$ to get recruits? After coming to USC from the NBA?

Obviously Frank would have to pay kids as well. I mean seriously.....he wouldn't have the self control, honesty, integrity, or self discipline to not pay a kid to come to Tennessee. He wouldn't have the pride in himself to use his resume of coaching or all the things U.T. has to offer a student athlete to get a great education and work in state of the art facilities...while learning under a former NBA coach/U.T. former assistant coach.

Only a few on here seems to want to attempt to hire a coach that can take this program to the next level. The man is interested then offer him the cash and long term deal....let him assemble his staff to start recruiting...and take the chance....he is the best chance at making us a Final Four caliber team.

BTW....any coach we hire is going to be a chance anyway. Why not make it on a former U.T. Assistant Coach and a N.B.A. former Head Coach/Assistant Coach that has coached the likes of Carter, Kidd, Harris, Jefferson, Allen, Garnett, O'Neal, Pierce, Rondo, etc? How could you NOT recruit elite talent with that type of experience?

Wow. Wouldn't it be ironic if we got Frank. Hat would be a Frank Fluffer and MHF would be a Negavol....

They could just use each others arguments from the last time all over again!

You would think that someone with so experience with it would understand the concept of failing a little better.

That is funny! Well done.

I would support the program.

I would root for myself to be wrong and for Frank to succeed wildly. When he failed I would absolutely rub it in.

I think we should give Frank an extra 500K just for those debates.
