If they made the flop illegal

. He didn't go after any big catches or fight for extra yardage unless it was against weaker talent he protected is body in spite of what was best for the team..

Justin Hunter overall yards per catch . . . 14.8 yards
Justin Hunter YPC against SEC opponents . . . 14.6 yards

Go make up something else.

To bad they don't account for how many he wimped out and didn't catch or I'm sure he probably would have had twice that many. He was a not playing to his capabilities. I'm glad we now know that you are willing to accept a half ass performance. He dropped as many balls as he caught. He is sorry. Go cuddle up and cry with him.

Don't fall victim to wallsjm's silly game. He's never played football. Does Justin Hunter come to Wendy's to critique your Frosty making technique?

Actually I played football all the way through high school. Nobody critiques my skills at making frostys but I'm sure there are plenty I people that critique you on your ignorance

In reference to everything you mentioned: No.

After watching UT football games I DVR'd , If they made the flop illegal in football like in basketball Justin Hunter would be screwed. I was at every home game so I never really noticed it that bad but the dude as soon as he caught the ball if he was in the open field he would jump in the ground like someone was shooting at him. What a sand bagger.

Same as Bryce Brown being 4th string at KSU and then beasting out with the Eagles. Obvious sandbagging. Thus the need for performance based scolly's.

My only issue with Hunter was his ridiculous case of the dropsies. Of all the things I expected from him, that was an utter surprise. I thought he'd be the 2nd best WR on the team, albeit to Rogers. I also thought he'd be a step slower and slightly more hesitant. I never thought he'd lose his ability to catch the big pass, though.

He wimped out exactly 25 times last season. I'm glad we have this valuable measurement tool.

Holy smokes we actually have people on here who watched a few games this season and noticed. Thank you for your honesty. Some people on here ate afraid to speak in a negative manner about the all mighty Justin Hunter.

No doubt. I think you could also get on him for his maddening propensity to give up ground in an effort to run after the catch. But I think people really need to be careful when calling a player's heart into question . . . Especially after 73 catches and 1083 yards the year after an ACL tear.

Not at all. I just added another critical point in the post above.

My view on him was that he had late 1st to early 2nd round numbers, but if you watched him, he had late 2nd to early 3rd round performances. Because of our offense's propensity to throw, he was going to have eye-popping numbers. I just don't think, based on this year's drops alone, that he is going to be a 1st rounder.

I think when GMs look at him, they're going to say that his strength, speed, ups, and acceleration will come back. I wonder if they're going to look at his drops and see what happened to TO in Dallas. Once you start dropping consistently, you're in trouble.

The drops are definitely something scouts are going to have to be satisfied about.

I don't understand what you mean by them being satisfied
probably a bad word, but I couldn't think of a better one.

I meant satisfied as in, there naturally will be a concern about the drops and the scouts/GMs will need to be satisfied that they were either a result of him playing his way back into shape or that it's something that can be fixed at the next level.

I wish I had seen more from Justin Hunter this year. The problem JH was having this year I guarantee you was all psychological. It takes 7 to 9 months on average to fully recover physically from an ACL tear but the pyschological impact can take much longer to get over.

In retrospect, the few big plays this year where he actually came off the ground and caught the ball, and then he would celebrate like he just got a touchdown. I now think those were psychological hurdles he was jumping over each time he did that. It was his own little head party.

I am glad Hunter wore our beloved orange and applaud him for making it to the NFL. That being said he won't be a household name at WR in the NFL. He is too lanky to block and NFL receivers must be able to block. Look at Meachem; if he is on the field he is either there to catch a ball or run deep to draw attention. He is a serious threat but he can't get much play time because he is useless when his team needs a blocking receiver. I see Hunter having the same problems as Meachem and I see Meachem as more of a threat. Hunter's playtime may be even less.

All IMHO of course

Anyone that is glad Hunter won't be back is completely clueless.

Same with Bray he led a dysfunctional Vols team to be the best O in the SEC and people are rejoicing that he might leave. Silly! I get where he's not as loved as Peyton but this animosity towards most of this team is just stupid.

I'm just saying if he doesn't get off that pacifier then ya he is gonna be done for. I'm so glad that I don't have to watch him play another down in Neyland and make a mockery of the team because he is just going with the get rich quick method. Justin Hunter is no VFL

You, my friend are pathetic. The kid just had knee surgery. I cant say that a blame him for being just a tad bit timid.

Is this our measuring stick now? What statistic shows wimps or pansies? Seriously, this is stupid. He was recovering from surgery, puts up 1000 yards, and we are upset.
