Reggie White and not even close. Have a Man like him anchor the D-line and bring Neyland to a howl as he sacked QBs with more regularity than Jimmy Cheek taking Metamucil ...

He had a great season in '83 as a senior including a dominant performance against LSU *which I attended*. They couldn't block him with any two O-linemen but his first 3 years were nothing special and our defenses were pretty atrocious from '80-'82. I think Reggie's reputation on here is a little bloated by how great a Pro career he had.

Obviously not Peyton. He's a terrible fit in Butch's offense when we have Nate "Crazy Legs" Peterman.

I would take Michael Palardy. Does anybody remember that kid? Damn, he was good.

I'd have to go with Tony Robinson. Dude would be runnin around like a chicken with his head cut off, only he's still got his head right on. Like a King Cobra.

With this offense, yeah Tony Robinson in his prime.

No - I honor him as a VFL but Tony was a loser - awesome on the field but once he got hurt and turned to drugs, he made all the wrong choices - dont need that kind of person on the team - he had some bad breaks for sure but he made the worst of them.

We need a QB so badly - agreed Peyton would not be ideal pick for this offense style but nobody could captain a team better. Reggie White tho, ahhhh, to have some D in the SEC would be a change of pace.

Why don't you hate Reggie if your standards are so high to the point of hating Tony?
I think I recall Reggie saying negative things about UT. Maybe I'm drunk and mixed up? If I am just ignore.

I don't know about him talking about UT but Reggie did make quite a few comments in public and on record that would quickly bring a lot of negative attention to UT these days.

Thanks.
I was sure that this was the case.

I am not aware of anything. Bottom line is that Reggie knew how to win - in game and in life.

Condredge Holloway would be deadly on the read option and threw the ball well enough to make these young wide outs weapons too. He is the perfect fit for the spread offenses of today.
