If we dont get Selby

You can take this for the price you paid for it.

There are only 2 teams with a shot at him. Four will be mentioned but it is down to two and has been for awhile now. It appears as of now that no one (at least no one wearing orange) will know what the decision is until Saturday.

Confidence level is 50/50 or slightly lower.
Still us and Kansas?

Correct. Weren't you the one busting my chops for stating that awhile back?

Yeah, that was me. At that time, it just really seemed as though you were hyping UT as the leader, which I don't believe to have ever been the case. Perhaps I misunderstood you. If so, my bad.

No problem. On that day all signs were pointing that UT was back in the lead. It has gone back and forth A LOT since then and from what I'm told (and admittedly I know I'm not always getting all of the details I'm sure) KU is slightly ahead (whatever that means).

I know the whole Nike/Addidas theories are still out there, but from a basketball standpoint UT is not a bad choice for the kid. He will be able to run until his tongue falls to the floor, and showcase his skills. Thing is, he can go to Kansas and be "the man". Thats a calling card thats hard to pass up, especially with Knight to UK.

If it turns out in your favor, Selby to UT will make next year an absolutely epic battle.

We will all soon see...IMO we do not come close to getting this kid but we can wish and stranger things have happened but my hopes are not up on this one.

Nothing new, but Hubbs just said on 104.5 that we are still in it, that Selby and his mom are really keeping to themselves about the decision, and that he wouldn't be surprised if he ended up at any of the remaining schools.

In my opinion, this would be the biggest recruit in UT basketball history not named Bernard King.

Just saw on Sportscenter that Selby is down to Tennessee and Kansas. You have been right all along. I have since found out form someone in the program that he is actually LEANING to Tennessee. Pretty bizarre turn of events. I have never thought UT had a player and didn't have a player as much back and forth as I have with Selby...

Yay for April 17!

Too bad he still has 3 days to change his mind 5,453 more times.

In all seriousness, that's great news and I sincerely hope you are right and that he doesn't change his mind.

When did you see that on SC?

That can't be correct; ESPN hates us.

I drew a picture of the Sea of ESPN HATE... As you can see, Pearl Island (for tanning) is safe from the sharks, sinkings, octopi, and lightning strikes in the terrible, terrible Sea of ESPN HATE.... :)

Why do you people think that one guy can make or break a program. You act like Selby is Derrick Rose or something. UT has guys in place that can handle that position just fine. We can go out next year and bring in a point. Many kids that play the flip flop game are not even the type you want in the program.

I agree. We have two great point guards committed for next year. I would rather we had spent our efforts on bringing in a quality big man this year, rather than waiting on Selby and probably losing a chance for anyone else.
