If We Get Fined for the Fake Injury....

Rules are Rules, and this one happens to be a good one. If we faked the injury (which, from the stands, it sure looked that way), we deserve what we get.
Agree...it looked like they kept him on the sidelines w/ the medical staff for the obligatory medical examination for validity purposes. That was pretty obvious to me, and not a good look.

I’m not even 100% sure it was a fake injury. He was visibly limping before going down. They’ve always coached you just to go down if you are hurt rather than trying to rush off the field and get caught subbing. Not anything serious, but may have been cramping.
Yeah he was limping. It looked like a hip injury. Not saying it didn't benefit us for him to get injured there, but there's probably enough of a gray area though that we won't get fined.

Like when the offense subs and the official stands over the ball until the defense subs even if they’re slow rolling it? How many times have we had to burn a timeout or take a delay because the other team took their sweet time? Or not being able to review a play after the ball is snapped or especially after a play has been ran?

None of the pundits cared about fakes when we were getting slowed up by them for the last couple of years. It was treated like an interesting quirk that was mildly amusing.

Last night, the righteous indignation at our guy doing it from the broadcasters was hot and aggressive. You would have thought from the time of the commentary that our player took a dump on the field.

Selective outrage.

Ever notice that protecting our kicker on extra points is costly because of so many injuries? Just saying.....
The injuries on extra points are due to the way or linemen interlock their arms and legs……absolutely no faking on those

Then we know the SEC hates us. We're the ones everybody fakes injuries against. We do it one time and they're gonna try to make an example out of us. Pathetic if it happens.
We have been faking an injury on extra points for two seasons. Anytime we scored quickly, someone would be injured on the Extra Point attempt. Which in my mind is excellent coaching strategy to insure our Defense gets an extra couple of minutes rest.

If everyone is going to use it to their advantage over us, we should use to ours.

As far as the rules comment, there isnt a rule agaisnt it.

If we did that's very disappointing. Didn't think TN coaches would stoop to that level.
What? You must look away when we kick extra points! We've been faking injuries for the last 3 years. Not at the rate of some, but it's obvious that we do it. No Tennessee fan needs to be throwing stones from a glass house on this issue. If doing it is wrong, then doing it once is wrong.

We have had old players say it on podcasts. If the offense scores too fast (hasn’t happened much this year) they would tell one of the OL to fake an injury on the xp to give the defense an extra 3-5 minutes of rest.

If you go back and watch our xp’s over the years, we have the most injury plagued XP team in the country…
