Don't forget the fact that we chickened out of our regular season match up with UNC. I'm not sure how that fits into the ACC vs. SEC argument, but it does show an SEC team cowarding out vs. an ACC team.
It's funny that you failed to mention that we tried to keep that game but get it moved to a different date. We've also kept games like Oklahoma, Oregon, etc. This is a fairly ignorant argument at this point but I would expect nothing less from "you".

It looked bad the way Hammy and the admin let the "game dropping" thing go down.

It only looked bad because it got published and hammered by the media...the media loves to hate UT...You should know that being a VOL!

To clear **** up yes. You might but I don't like hearing tar holes telling me we chickened out!

So you want the AD of UT to schedule a press conference in the hopes that UNC fans might stop calling your team a chicken? Wow.

To explain we didn't drop the game we couldn't settle on a date! It isn't like hammy has a lot to do.

Meh. I guess I just don't give a sh*t what UNC fans think of UT dropping the game. They can think what they want, doesn't bother me a bit. Besides we'll be settling this on the field in just a few days.

Sorry, my understanding was we just didn't want to play them.

Also note, it seems that bowl analyst have the same understanding as they are mentioning this as a sub plot to our bowl game... and they like to point this out as they laugh at UT.

So, sorry you couldn't be a little more polite, but I didn't know it was just an issue of finding the proper date.

My understanding was that UT wanted to move the game back several years. To me, that is still being a coward. We agreed to play them in a certain year, then reneged.

Not if we play like we have the last few games. If Bray is on, we win easily imo. I like our chances.

I believe that too but not easily...it's not like we are playing Vandy, Memphis, OLE Miss we are playing a team thats half way decent, will be a good game especially if Bray plays good and I think he will

It could have been handled better. I'm not a big Hamilton fan but several people have said that he used every resource at his disposal to get this Bowl game to be UT versus UNC.

We're stearing well off topic but I agree to an extent that I would like to have kept them on the schedule but I understand Hamilton's reasons for taking them off. Kiffin and Dooley both wanted this game moved or taken off the schedule. It just makes no sense as loaded as the SEC is to have a murderous OOC schedule also. I doubt it effects us but IF we were to be in contention for a BCS game by some miracle and we drop a game against UNC or another game right after them because of the the attrition of several tough back to back games. UT needs to be like UF until they get back on track, play the conference schedule and crush a couple of creampuffs OOC.

Agree lets be like UF and schedule the TROY"S of college football and keep our starters in until the fourth even though your creaming them so you can get attention from the BCS!
