And Dooley will destroy them all...so let it be written , so let it be done.

1. Bear Bryant of 40 years ago. I had the honor to be recruited by him and then got to play against his team.

2. Not many others. Coaches are not loyal and are only in it for the $$ today. There is more to college football than moving for 50 cents an hour more. (or even a few grand an hour)

Saban is the coach to beat right now. Meyer showed his weaknesses this season and I wouldn't want those. Saban is also 1/2 the reason I believe in DD. DD was with him the longest, and Saban doesn't strike me as someone that is loyal to his coaches for the sake of being loyal. He extracted his lb of flesh from DD and I am a firm believer DD took better notes than the others as to how Saban's machine works. We'll see.

ill take the ole ball coach from the 90's over ANY of them.

He was definitely tough to beat, from a winning and excitement perspective, for sure.

I will stick with Dooley. I am not excited that it will be smash-mouth football from excitement perspective, but if it wins games, then I will be on board.

I am an optimist at heart, and I like new beginnings when there is plenty of reason for hope. The way Dooley saved the day in recruiting is major reason for hope.

Saban, no doubt. He can recruit, he runs pro-style offense, and he has won a championship at 2 different schools (getting to the title game through the SEC no less).

Your second choice got out-coached by Neuheisal and staff in their own house.

I don't know if I would say that they were outcoached. We had a QB at the time that couldn't hit the ocean with his passes. Kinda hard to win a game when the other side knows you're going to run every time pretty much. I thought our defense played fine in that game, especially given our depth issues.

As much as I hate the man, Saban would be my first choice. The guy can freakin' coach. 2 NCs at two different schools isn't easy to accomplish, especially how quickly he did it at Alabama(granted we should have won this years game)

UCLA was dealing with the same thing, except for their guy was a true freshman. Chow called a better game and protected his QB.

That's easier to do when you have an offensive line that's not made out of swiss cheese like ours was... plus, they had a guy named Brian Price on their DL who tore us up. Like I said, our defense played fine. We were hamstrung by our offensive line and Crompton.

Uhh, We actually ran the ball a lot better than they did. We had 30 more yards, and had a higher ypc (though both teams had trouble running). UCLA started 2 freshman and 3 sophomores on OL. There goes that theory. Not to mention we gained 500 more yards (in the SEC) last year than UCLA did, so it seems our offense was a lot more capable than theirs, regardless of what you think of the line.

I never said anything about our defense. They won because they coached their QB to a non-disastrous game. We didn't. Prince threw 11/23 for 101 yards. If it wasn't there he threw it away. Nearly every pass he completed was a dump. His longest completed pass was 14 yards total, that's including RAC.

All this points to CLK being out-coached on that particular day...by Neuheisal.

How on earth are you going to put that on Kiffin? Crompton was a headcase before the Georgia game. I do think that they eventually helped him out, but it took 5 or 6 games to do it. It was the same thing in the Florida game. I just don't see how that's being outcoached. If a guy can't hit a receiver on a slant route from 6 yards, there's not much you can do about that.
