Me too. I’m in Wheaton. I’ve lived in the burbs since 1980. I’ve kind of adopted Illinois as a team I follow so I would definitely go to Champaign

I’m transplanted in Arlington Heights. Don’t mind it up here but can’t wait to retire back home in eastern Tennessee.

Need to bring back the Memphis game.
I maybe imagining this, but wasn't their an agreement set up by a former govenor that we were supposed to play them every so often? Again could've just dreamed this up

Edit: just realized we haven't played them in 14 years so probably just imagined all this

Nah.

No need to give that program any more oxygen than necessary.

No real benefit to UT either from a recruiting standpoint.

Schools like UT generally do not do home and homes with schools like Memphis anyway in the year 2024. Maybe a 2 fer 1 type of deal might work

I’d love a home and home against Penn State, would be fun to watch with my husbands PSU alumni friends.

Granted I might get banned but I’d have a blast

With the bye week, I’ve found myself going down rabbit holes watching old games, and it got me thinking:

If you could pick any team to start a series with, who would it be?

Personally, I’d love to see a series with Notre Dame. I miss the atmosphere and history that comes with playing them, and it would be great to bring that tradition back.

How about you all? Which team would you want to see us line up against? And why?
I like Notre Dame also.

I counted 4 posts saying Washington and a couple saying Nebraska. You know we already have home and aways set with them both, right?

I don’t think that you’re far off, but I remember it as they were pushing to get the basketball rivalry back on a yearly basis. Maybe we’re both having a case of the Mandela Effect!

Texas, because I like seeing those loudmouthed braggarts getting their behinds kicked, teeth removed, and replaced with glass shards.
None of you know how hard I was pulling for Vanderbilt to work their magic once more yesterday.

My daughter and her family are in Arlington Heights. I retired a few years ago but have too many ties here now to move back to Chattanooga. Two of my three kids are here, two of my five grandkids and my girlfriend. Plus a lot of friends
