Igor Milicic 3 point shooting

Igor has to keep shooting...until proven otherwise, I will consider that an anomaly for Igor given his work to date AND especially since everyone else not named Gainey (and only in the 2nd half) struggled shooting.
Bump

I love Igor and his contributions and he's gotta keep shooting...statistically he's due for quite a few in game heaters especially given the looks he's getting so let's hope for some serious mean reversion in his case. Pre-season I posted he would be the biggest factor between a good and great season because of how he could impact the game as a true stretch 4...if his 3's don't start falling it's def gonna bite us in conf play as opposing players sag off him.

Has a nice looking stroke just not making any. It all has to even out he shoots it really well good form and he has a history of making 35 percent.

I am not going to get too concerned until the shots are less discretionary and more required for him, ZZ and others. Crunch times are soon to be upon us. Starting from scratch like Coach just said.

Was at the game yesterday. Igor was hiting virtually every 3 he threw up in shootaround. Feels like his in-game shooting is mental at this point.
It's 100% mental imo...he's getting wide open, pregame warm-up looks and is now 0/13 over the last 4 games and is shooting 15 %'age points below his avg last year.

I'm friends with someone associated with the program,of course they all loved Lanier, but Igor was the one they were all so excited about.

He's the difference between a great (historic) season and a good year imo. We have seen how he affects the game from a defensive and rebounding perspective. Now, if he shoots +35% the rest of the season then watch out.

I've noticed last few games Igor has looked hesitant to take a 3 point shot even when wide open. I wonder if Barnes has asked him to first look at taking it to the hole?
Not sure exactly what it is but he does look indecisive in regards.
You can only shoot below 30% so long and still have a green light. Barnes probably just wants him shooting super wide open ones (or it may be depending on how practice has gone)

1-6, 0-3 from 3, 1 assist, with just 4 points. 2 rebounds all night.
Igor was a liability tonight.
Dubar needs a chance at some real minutes.
One mistake and he essentially doesn't get to play the rest of the game. Meanwhile, Igor turns the ball over more than once, gets lost on offense, gets lost on defense, and gets all the minutes he wants.
Blows my mind

he really didn't play well.

he is putting way to much heat on his 3pt shots. Either back up some or take some of the juice off of it. Brother is hitting the backboard not the hoop

Igor should never shoot again.

But but he does all the little things...

Idk what it is man, I've seen him shoot several air balls this year. I think he just freaks out when he shoots. He does the same thing anytime he gets the ball down by the basket, too. He had a couple this game that should have been jams if he just played quick and with confidence.

Dubar’s a bust. Phillips gets any extra minutes there

I'm fine with that.
But Dubar could possibly give us more like the Texas game. He's just hasn't had any real minutes to develop. I don't see how he does worse than Igor tonight if he plays 27 minutes like Igor did.

He’s in his 5th year playing D1 ball and he’s lost out there. He should have went somewhere they roll out the ball and just play. He hasn’t figured out how to contribute in a heavily structured team ball that we play. Every portal guy isn’t going to work out. JMO, TIFWIW

Maybe, but I personally can't say that because the minutes he has had this year. Hard to find your groove when you're on the floor for 1 minute like tonight

I personally don’t like putting down players because of a bad game, but to be fair, Igor has not taken advantage of his size and length and could be a match up nightmare.

I know Barnes probably won’t go this route, but I would like to see Cade “start” over Igor..

It could be a “send a message” tactic, or just simply playing Cade more because he always gives his best effort.

Maybe Igor will be better coming off the bench after “seeing” the game flow and contribute more, but Cade deserves more minutes..
