Update from On3 Director of Recruiting Chad Simmons- “things could be shifting back towards Ohio State. The Buckeyes have been in this from the beginning. He has the best relationships with Ohio state, specifically Brian Hartline, and relationships, and player development are two factors in his decision. The buzz coming out of this weekend was more around Ohio State. Is it a smokescreen? Tennessee has had some momentum and the last visit Tate took was to Knoxville when Nico Iamaleava was on campus. I am told there is still some level of optimism in both camps. This one could go down sooner than later I am told as well. I am riding with my Tennessee prediction (for now).”

Looks like Carnell did what he wanted and made it impossible to guess. Chad Simmons is one of the best out there and he has no clue. To summarize his comments, "Some people think Ohio State. I'm not a violence guy by any means quiet the opposite but no u will not disrespecting me or anyone in my family.I mean you people take everything so literal around here I'm not punching folks for saying my hair looks bad.If someone was present and called my mom ignorant or something to that effect then i need an apology or we got situation.Im sure some are okay with being disrespected repeatedly but I'm not one of em..The world needs accountability period something we have very very little of.

without going back through all the pages, does he have a commitment date in mind or any sort of deadline? His commitment would lessen yesterday's bball loss.

It would certainly be a UT thing to have him go elsewhere, but damn....this fan base/program needs something good to happen. Tate MUST be a Vol. Just has to happen.

I think if he commits to Ohio State you take the high road and keep recruiting him. If something happens you’re sitting in good position, if he transfers later you’re sitting in good shape, if he goes there it still looks better for other WRs.
