‘23 IL WR Carnell Tate (Ohio State commit)

I would be worried if Tate started putting out pro UT stuff on social media. As long as it’s OSU stuff, I think he’s a VOL.

AP said a month ago he was going to go quiet and make a surprise commit announcement. He said Tate didn’t want a bunch of CBs ruining his announcement. All of the recent CBs have went to OSU. If he was going to pick OSU now is when he would be putting out pro UT stuff to confuse.

You can reach the NFL from any school. If Tate picks OSU, he picks OSU, but let's not pretend going there "helps" his NFL chances. That's a fallacy OSU coaches are pushing to get recruits. If that ends up being the reason Tate picks OSU, then he just got fooled. You can look at the NFL's top WRs and where they went to school and see, it's possible to get to the league from any school. The NFL finds talent. So he needs to pick the place he feels most comfortable, and not base it off this fantasy of "you're more likely to get drafted if you attend x school". If that's OSU, then it's OSU. Hopefully it's Tennessee, but if it's not, we'll just find some other WR to make a star.
Best post I’ve ever seen from you

I don't disagree we've got alot of good arguments as to why he should pick UT, however failing to acknowledge OSU is also a great program historically is not one of them, and attempting to argue in favor of that absurd proposition reduces the credibility of someone not acknowledging that obvious fact on every other point they try to make.
It’s the safe pick. And the door should remain open if he realizes he’s got arrogant chumps like Zach Smith and Brian Hartline overselling the experience.
