it would’ve been nice to have and a good look for us to have the #1 QB & #1 Wr in the class, but in all honesty we will be alright without tate. wr production will never be a problem here under heupel. we will start to get these high profile wr’s soon.

we got a top 60 wr just last year in webb according to on3

Like I said the other day, 2nd year under Heupel is key. If the offense keeps putting up video game numbers consistently, the blue chip WRs will come. One year isn’t enough to win against the big boys. We need to win 9 games this year.

I agree the offense needs to continue to put up numbers and all signs point that way as Heupel has done it at multiple stops. But one year was enough to get a top 5 QB and in all honesty that’s what a team must have to beat the big boys.

I just mean “beat the big boys” consistently. We got a little ahead of ourselves and a bunch of people were predicting we might land 5-6 5-stars this class. We just need to win some games against a very winnable schedule this year and the recruiting will come.

Ehhh I don't think Tate has ever been about the money not cool to paint a kid like that...Nico brought the interest and it looks like it didn' work out...Ain't nobody stressing wr like no offense in Las Vegas he got smoked out.You heard about Davis Nico Ennis but Carnell didn't really show up when the lights was on aint got sour grapes just keeping it real.Hahaha plus I been drinking all damn day so prob time log off before I get sloppy...GoVols either way we be aight

We will find out Monday..... at 1 pm. I personally dont think its us. But I have been wrong before many times in life. That said Bring on Seldon and the Juco kid and spend that scholarship on a db or lb if we dont get Tate. Maybe Mizell picks us.... its also a while till signing day and im sure some kid explodes and 5 stars take a step back. It happens every year. We dont necessarily need 5 star WRs, what we do need is talent and if this Offensive staff wants you... They believe you can help this team. So win or lose on the Tate sweepstakes we will be ok. Go Vols

Metal wouldn’t have driven by this thread and posted what he posted if Tate was coming here. He would have given us some hope. Its over for this one, but plenty of other great recruits still on the board for the 2023 class.
