Metal wouldn’t have driven by this thread and posted what he posted if Tate was coming here. He would have given us some hope. Its over for this one, but plenty of other great recruits still on the board for the 2023 class.

Malik Benson will be more productive than Tate FWIW. He’ll split reps with 3 other 5 stars at OSU and Benson will be catching passes from Tayven/Nico in Heupels offense. I will only be worried if we miss on Chandavian or Francis

Would've liked to have had him...not going to sweat it, though; especially if we land Benson. He's my #1 at WR. Pure speed, my friends...something Tate does not have. Nothing against Tate, but speed wins the SEC.

For the record OSU mods haven’t heard anything either. Nobody knows anything, people are just speculating.

I'm actually curious if Nico has reached out to Tate in the last few days? In the end, Tate goes wherever he goes, but as I said previously, I always thought Tate's interest in us was really based of this perceived friendship with Nico. That being said, I wonder if Nico and Tate have been talking? Doesn't really matter, just a curiosity thing.

I find it hilarious how some have just given up and think they know he is gone when in actuality nobody knows anything.

I think it’s because we’ve seen this exact scenario play out about 100 times before this one. I can’t even count the number of times people have tried to ignore the obvious signs and sell it as the recruit just trying to “shock the world.”

I’m not even upset. We gave it a try and it’s pretty impressive we made it to his final 2. Lots of great options left on the board for 2023 and lots to still be excited about.

I’m just not going to do the thing again where I try to explain away all of the signs. This time isn’t any different, even if we try to convince ourselves it is.
